My son had an amazing day , Adam is his ultimate hero and he was so approachable and down to earth a true inspiration to swimmers

What an amazing day, our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
From the warmest welcome, to the encouraging comments in the gym, the inspiring chat during racing edge to the wows poolside, she was treated like a star of the future which is exactly inline with the ethos of the day.

The AP Race Breaststroke Clinic was fantastic for my child! Learning directly from world-class swimmers was so inspiring, and the coaches gave clear technical feedback as well as advice on how to mentally prepare for races. My child came away more confident, motivated, and excited to keep improving. Highly recommend!

A genuinely brilliant and inspiring day. Very well organised and structured with a good ratio of coaches to athletes in each session. This was so much more than swim coaching because being a good athlete and performance is about so much more than the time spent in the water. I wish even the basics of what was covered on this day were in the grassroots syllabus at every club. The parent session was insightful and reassuring but I got a lot out of every session. I took work to do during the day. I did none!

I have a little dyslexic athlete who avoids the written word where possible, that has come home and written pages of notes in her AP note book of things that she learnt and doesn’t want to forget. She’s made further notes following training since being back having been inspired by Adam and the team to do just that, in order to be ‘better than yesterday’

I’m not sure that elite level swimming will be in her future but the skills that she’s learning, especially from days like this will enhance her life skills for sure.

A really variety of mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of a swimmer. It was well run with a wealth of staff with first hand experience and knowledge. The day was motivational and inspirational. It’s the only event where there was a session on the parent role in the swimmer’s journey.

A throughly unforgettable day for our swimmers at the AP Race Summer Tour Breaststroke clinic, in Luton.

Every member of the team was so welcoming, kind and had their own story to tell, which was so inspiring. Everyone was so passionate about the sport: don’t get me wrong the coaching was fantastic, but the words of wisdom, the sharing of personal experiences and the energy to give back and make a positive change from Adam, Kevin, Anna, Lauren, Will, Archie, Rob, Alex, Tom and the rest of the team was top class. Couldn’t recommend it more for giving swimmers, parents and coaches a buzz and something to take away. Brilliant!

A Brilliant experience for me and my 9 year old. Amazing tips and hints to improve mentally and Physically. As well as a fun experience which will be remembered for a long time.
1 thing that would be useful is slightly smaller groups so that more feedback can be given directly to kids, especially in the swimming session. Also brillant to hear Adam's story and get to have photos with him.

We went to Oxford training session with our daughter , 1st class team, fantastic experience, all aspects covered, even as a spectator - my son was able to hold gold medal, wish you get more funding from british swimming as it is truly inspiring event for these young swimmers and to spread your courses all around the word! Great day listening to olympians! As a parent I have understood a lot more about the british swimming associations and what the future ahead of an olympian. For my son, a taste of the swimming excellence in the pool, at the gym and mental health sessions guided by top professionals! Recommended if you are looking for more swimming knowledge and give your child the best guide.

My 10 year old daughter had a fantastic experience. The team were amazing and she’s come away feeling inspired and challenged.
As a parent, I found the support session extremely useful. One thing I would love to have seen is a bit about nutrition, what to eat before, during and after both training and races.

Didn’t know what to expect, but what an outstanding event for swimmers and parents. The level of coaching offered by Adam and his team was inspiring. A well structured and thoughtful day full of insight. With many stories to reassure that everyone can find their own pathway in this incredible sport. Thank you!

Excellent team. Truly inspiring discussions. Fascinating attention to detail and explanation of breast stroke technique.

Acoustics in the gym hall were difficult presumably due to the nature of the space. Last year in Dumfries with a similar set up the acoustics were great.

An excellent day with a good structure and content for children at an early stage of their swimming journey. My 8 year old daughter loved the day and she is yet to start swimming in a club environment and she tried things for the first time at the clinic. The AP team are fantastic, energetic and really good at engaging with the kids. Special mention for Anna and Archie for being especially good with my daughter and she was smiling all day and on the way home! :-)

Attended with two girls 9 and 12 . We had it as the centre piece of our holiday back to Uk and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing experience for them. The day was very full. 3 activities of 1.5 hours (with the attendees split into 3 groups of around 28 kids each), and a final regroup of an hour with Adam Peaty. The littlest one was exhausted by then ( we had an 5am start) and slept through his talk but they both loved the autograph hunting afterwards with 3 of GB’s finest swimmers there.
For parents; I was expecting to be stuck in a canteen for the day but we were very much involved.
Very much the message is that you have more chance of winning the lottery than Olympic gold and that swimming is about being the ‘best you’, developing the skillsets needed which are also transferable to your education and career, and developing the mindset and resilience to handle the low points as well the high points.
Cost wise, yes it’s quite a bit for parents but honestly I don’t see how they can sustain to have this many top class athletes (current not ex), Olympic medalists and top practitioners travel the length of the country, hire out venues and so on to deliver this programme for this revenue. Value wise - really good, world class exposure at this cost per hour.
If you’re out to get personalised training then this is obviously not for you. You’re not going to get a day with 12 people at the top of their game to focus on your child for a couple of hundred quid as they too need to earn a living.
My guess is that the format will have to evolve over time to be more cost efficient for the organisers and it’ll then be less accessible so grab it while you still can.

My 12 year old daughter and two of her friends had the best day. They loved each of the sessions and got so much out of the them. I thought it was going to be a long day waiting around for them, but parents were included in the whole experience. The parent workshop was fantastic. I found it very emotional listening to Anna and learning about the ups and downs of her and her fiancé’s swimming journeys. Watching her family’s reaction video to her winning Gold at the Olympics and Lauren’s interviews had me in tears. Breastroke is my daughter’s least favourite stroke, she came out and said to me that can’t wait to compete in a breastroke race now. She loves her note book and is delighted with all her autographs and photo’s. All staff were so inspiring. Totally recommend for your swimmers.

A highly professionally put together day which ran like clockwork. The AP team are excellent both in terms of knowledge and personal skills. They made everyone feel at ease and we took away a huge amount from the day. Thank you so very much.

Absolutely brilliant. My daughter hates breaststroke as she hasn't got her technique right yet. She learnt so much over the course of the day and came away hating breaststroke a little bit less. Progress :)

A super informative and fun day for the participants. All the team were friendly and engaging with the swimmers and welcoming of their parents. Not only providing upskill for the swimmer's performance but insightful CPD for coaches and education to parents too. 100% recommend.
