Very bad service my physiotherapist…

Very bad service my physiotherapist called on Tuesday morning For a portable commode because I had Alegra surgery and was not able to sit on regular commode. So they called me and said it will be delivered by Tuesday night by 9 they did not come so I called Wednesday morning to find out where was the commode and they said oh it will be delivered today between 12.30 to 4 did not show up. So I called again and the person who answered said oh he will come by 6pm. And I said I need it since it was 3rd of my surgery and I was having hard time and what’s the use if I cannot get it when I need it and paid for it. And Brandon who answered the phone call says what you want me to do it’s not my fault such bad customer service from them. Apria needs to learn to teach people how to talk and handle your drivers not says what I should do in this situation.

apria is double dipping, harassing after payment

Apria requested my credit card "in case equipment was stolen". I was covered 100% thru medicare and medicaid.
In 2 months they ran my balance from $0.00 to over $6,000.00, my max was $5k. I was not able to get a bill, and itemized invoice, nothing but "You owe us, we will take your life support equipment away". I closed the credit card, and took money from my 401k to pay it off. Totally disabled, cannot work.
Then they began calling about me owing money. They would not provide an itemized bill or anything written, "That was not their policy".
I paid with a registered check. They kept harassing me and calling before I awaken and at night when our children were sleeping. Months and months of this. I finally went to a different one of their offices and showed them a copy of the check being cashed. They asked for me to give it to them. No, I won't. Then they asked for a copy. They then told me the copier destroyed the letter. I pulled out another copy, and told the "sweet darling" that if they continued the harassment, they would next be speaking to an attorney.
Finally it stopped.
My pulmonary doctor asked why I did not sue them. I told her we could barely get by on my SS checks. If I put an attorney on retainer, or paid by his time, then we would have less. Apria would delay proceedings. Knowing that my time is short due to my illness. I die, my family has less money, and Apria is off the hook, no lawsuit, just APria laughing as their lawyers have "protected them again" from the mean customers that are dyeing.

We have a 24/7 100% disabled adult child, disabled from birth. They called during the 08:00 hour. The "sweet darling" told me our child owed them over $300.00. He is and has been 100% covered by medicare and medi-cal since shortly after birth, 30+ years ago. I asked, no, I told the person to send an itemized bill in the mail. Said good bye and hung up.
Now they are robot calling early morning.

Looks like I will be getting an attorney. Hopefully we can persuade Apria Healthcare to be honest and not harm their customers.

Wanted to close out Account and returned their CPAP Machine.
Paid last bill.
They continue to bill me with different amounts. Spent all day on phone with overseas Reps., who don’t care about your problem. Just cashiers for Apria.
Managers don’t call you back.
BEWARE!!

Apria is incompetent, and a danger to your health

Ordered oxygen tech on the phone was rude and short tempered. No oxygen delivered the next day called back told tomorrow by 6 pm no one shows again took 6 days to get oxygen and this happened twice being oxygen dependent can’t leave the house without it. So sad, but on a happier note with a company now that seems to care

Talk to Marcus if you want to get hung up on

Called to find out about CPAP supplies. Had the extreme misfortune of speaking with a Marcus from the supply customer service. Who wouldn’t answer any simple questions, lectured me on how “yes” they accept Blue Cross but I had to call the insurance for pricing. The caveat is I asked for Blue Shield which he then says is the same thing. It’s not. Then decided his best resolution was to hang up on me. Bravo Apria…

Very Poor Billing Service with employee that cannot help me at all.

I have been on the phone for an hour trying to get itemized statements to submit to my Health Savings Account. So far, I have talked in circles, the person helping may not have a firm grip on English or she is just not qualified for her job. The itemized Statement that i was able to get after 45 minutes does not add up to the amount I have paid them. I feel like I am being cheated or they are trying to scam my insurance.

Overcharged

I was overcharged for my product. Double the amount that was agreed to when I placed the order. The product is a bipap machine. I paid a certain amount of money up front and was told that it would be $100 a month after that. When the time came, they charged my account on Jan 24th for $204. I contacted the billing department when I first saw this charge, and they agreed that it was incorrect. At the time, they offered to put it onto my next month bill. However, I live on a very strict budget and could not afford this deduction. As a result, some other bills came out that sent my bank account into overdraft. They told me that I had to wait 7-10 days "until the payment posted", though it had already posted on my account. So I call back today (Feb 7) after the time had elapsed and now they are trying to tell me that the charge is correct. Bottom line, I was told, and agreed and signed paperwork on the agreement that I would be paying $100 a month. Now they are trying to collect double that amount and refuse to refund my money. I asked for a supervisor but was
denied.

Billing Headaches every time.

If I could rate Apria with zero starts I would. Recently I ordered C-Pap supplies. Not all items arrived without an explanation. Through further investigation I realized Apria took the tubing out of my order with out ever contacting my insurance either. I had paid in advance for the out of pocket expenses that I was responsible for. The partial shipment of parts came to my house. Next thing I know Apria's offshore billing people are calling me saying that I owe the out of pocket expenses which I had already paid. My past history with Apria is the billing has been messed up every time. When I bought my C-Pap machine they severely overcharged me for my out of pocket and had to reimburse me. I was finally able to get a hold of an on shore billing person by making that request from the person that I assume was in India. The on shore billing person told me the moneys I paid lag in the posting so that is why the offshore billing was bothering me for my out of pocket money.
I will never use Apria again. My every experience with their billing practices has been a headache and leads to a lot of stress.
Use a better provider of C-Pap materials if at all possible.

Worse customer service ever

Worse customer service ever. Been dealing with the Portland branch and waiting for their manager to return my call. It's been 3 weeks now, with no word whatsoever even after I've called multiple times and reps have emailed this manger a handful of times to try to resolve the situation that they put me in. I would have thought that this company valued customers, but apparently, I'm wrong.

Apria is way over priced

I needed a new CPAP machine. I made the mistake of having the prescription filled by Apria. With an initial payment and subsequent monthly payments, I paid well over $1000.00 for a machine that I could have purchased online for less then half of the total. They can blame it on insurance companies all they want, but in my opinion, they are stealing from people and are extremely overpriced. I would never recommend Apria to anyone, EVER!

Badly needed oxygen equipment thrown on front porch and they ran using Covid19 as an excuse.

I was Very week with pneumonia and a lack of oxygen after having Cov19.

Their heavy oxygen equipment was dumped on my front porch with a quick start guide.

Took me over an hour to drag equipment into my house. All was very heavy.

My wife knows nothing about electronics or oxygen and my mind with depleted of oxygen was not sharp.

After two hours of calling friends family and watching on line videos, determined that the oxygen bottles were for leaving home and had nothing to do the monster concentrator machine.

Was able to get the concentrator working rapidly after 30 minutes or so after that.

Did I say that Apria's office closed with no support of any kind after hours!

I would never for any reason recomend Apria healthcare!

All of the companies that are using Covid19 as an excuse, need to wake up to the fact that Covid19 is here to stay. Covid19 is not going away. In one two five ten or one hundred years Covid19 will like all other flues be a part of our lives.

Setting policies that don't deal with Covid are just wrong for any healthcare company or any company for that matter!

And with no after hours tech support, this company has no empathy for their customers.

Worst healthcare company I’ve ever…

Worst healthcare company I’ve ever dealt with. I was prescribed for an automatic CPAP by my pulmonologist my insurance goes through Apria as my supplier. Initially they never contact me I had to contact them first. So I made the first phone call they told me to get a document from the doctor the fax over to them and I did so immediately and they received it. I never heard from them for a couple days after up to a week and they sent me on a run around to obtain more documentation which was immediately sent. Now it’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my life saving Medical device which is my CPAP machine.

All these reviews are true.

Yeah, they're pretty bad. The people in the Joplin office are real nice.....polite, professional. But.....the equioment their employer wants them to rent out to ill, even terminal people, is just old, unrepaired junk. I've been through 2 oxy conc's so far......still gasping and choking!

Defective filthy and incorrect equipment

The doctor orders a hospital bed with full rails and a reclining wheelchair. Apria doesn’t follow doctor orders and sends bed that has broken wheel locks and 1/2 rails. The wheelchair is also defective and won’t recline. On another occasion the sent a defective and filthy Hoyer lift. Quality is the worst and they don’t follow instructions.

Apria Healthcare Refuses To Refund Overpaid Amount

My father had COPD and had leased oxygen equipment and tanks from Apria Healthcare. He passed in April of this year at 79, and my mother paid two final bills. The last because they claimed they were never paid. In October Apria Healthcare sent her a check in my father's name in the amount of $26.40, knowing he was deceased, because she had in fact overpaid. She called them to have them send a check in her name because she was unable to do anything with a check in his. They said the needed a copy of the death certificate emailed and said to reference the check #, state her relationship to the deceased and provide her mailing address. I did this for her because she is technologically illiterate.

After a couple weeks, when she never received the check, she called and got the run around. They claimed they never received the email. I had owned a small website development and hosting company for 18 years. I know that, when you send an email to an email address that does not exist, the mail server bounces the email back to you. This is how I know it was received. Whomever she talked to said that they didn't have to send her a check because the account was not in her name. She went to the local Apria Healthcare office and got the same treatment. I filed a BBB complaint and their response was the she refused to send the copy of the death certificate, which is a lie. They received the email with the attached death certificate, they just want to keep $26.40 from the widow of a former customer. It's sick!

IMO, people need to be think carefully about dealing with Apria Healthcare. They love to game play.

Consumer, Beware.

Update

Update - called them to come pick up their equipment. They can give me a day but not a time. This business does not care about people at all. Apparently I'm supposed to take a whole day off work so I can sit around and wait for them to come get their stuff. Seriously avoid this place at all cost. If the hospital wants to use them as was the case with us, ask for a different provider!

They were supposed to deliver an oxygen tank to the hospital for my grandmother. It was supposed to be there at or before 4 pm. She could not be discharged until it got there.I called at 4:30 pm. It's on it's way. Oxygen did not arrive until 5:30. And they sent a shipment to my house which I told them could not be done until I got back from the hospital. So, I pulled up and the truck was blocking the drive. I had to leave my grandmother in the car while dealing with set up. Then I had to have her walk across the neighbor's yard and our drive so I could get her in house.

Ridiculously incompetent company

Ridiculously incompetent company. I have NEVER received the CPAP supplies I actually ordered! Not a single time in a year! The wrong supplies arrive, the wrong size, just pieces and not the whole component, pieces that don't fit together, and so on. It took five re-sends to get the right headpiece to arrive!

Do not EVER do business with this company. I cannot believe they still exist. They have quite a racket going on. If the insurance companies that actually send Apria the money were the same people who consumed Apria's consistently incompetent service, the money would dry up instantly.

Screw you, Apria. Your incompetence is a medical hazard to your patients.
