This product has been great for my…

This product has been great for my mother-in-law, who lives in an aged care residence. It’s a great way for both of us to monitor whether she is drinking the amount of fluid recommended by her doctors. The bottle is easy to use and works well even without the app. Highly recommended.

Sounds great but be careful.

I received smart bottle a few days ago and still unable to connect it to my iphone. The downloadable app of which there are two (have tried both), does not connect. I have troubleshooted this via Aquame instructions so many times and it still wont connect. When I allow it on my blue tooth the usual iphone the blue ! does not appear which allows me to forget or disconnect the device. The device comes up without the ! Then when you try to connect the bottle to your iphone nothing happens and the device disappears on your blue tooth screen.

Bought two of these rubbish bottles

Bought two of these bottles. Live in Australia. After 2 months it stopped working. I emailed and they said it was my fault. It isn’t a waterproof lid so of course water was going to get in and stuffed up the sensor. There was visibly water in it as I could see it. Customer service terrible and told me I had to buy a new lid was practically the same price as a new one. My opinion is to stay clear of this rubbish product.

I bought this bottle less than a month…

I bought this bottle less than a month ago, and one day when I was about to refill it, I noticed it was starting to rust. It turned out to be a screw inside the lid that was oxidizing. I emailed customer service because it’s definitely not normal for something you use only to drink water to start rusting so quickly.

To my surprise, their response was that this happens when you drink “low-quality water.” How is it even possible for potable water to rust a screw? They basically washed their hands of any responsibility. An awful, scammy company. It’s worth mentioning that Madrid’s water is among the best in the world, and this so-called “premium” bottle costs over €60.

Absolutely insane — don’t waste your money buying anything from this brand.

AVOID!!! SCAM!!! Faulty Product. Customer service is in breach of consumer law

AVOID!!! SCAM!!! FAULTY!!! FRAUDULENT!!!

Be warned. The quality of the bottle has major flaws and is now useless. Customer service breaches consumer rights.
First, the lid does not snap shut. Water gets into the mechanism every time you wash, and this friction prevents the spring from engaging the lid lock.

Second, the inside seal to keep the top screwed on is loose and comes unstuck or falls off whenever opening the bottle.
Without the lid being locked shut, no water consumption is logged, and no UV sterilisation occurs. These are the main benefits of the bottle, so there is no point in purchasing. Also, a bottle that does not seal shut is little more than a large cup.
Other minor issues: the rubber bottom glue comes unstuck easily on its own, the clock does not keep time (inaccurate by up to 8 minutes within 1 month), the touch capacitive surface to press is poor and requires covering the entire screen with your hand, preventing you from seeing if manual UV sterilisation has been activated.
Additionally, the app does not sync with Apple HealthKit. So there is no way to tally your daily fluid intake! A massive shortcoming.
On top of this, customer service has been abysmal. They refuse to acknowledge the major flaws, accuse me of dropping and physically damaging the product, and refuse a refund or replacement.
I have lodged with ACC, Office of Fair Trading in QLD, and Consumer Affairs VIC. OFT Qld agreed this is a breach of Consumer Law, but Aquame refused to refund, instead accusing me of damaging it.

This had soooo much potential and I was so excited for this product. It claimed to UV steralised; log water intake; has a mouthpeach that was fully closed by the lid, keeping it clean; it had the time displayed; it kept drinks cold( it actually does a great job at this). Unfortunately, hardware and software flaws prevent this from occurring.

I cannot use this for the purpose and they are in breach of my consumer rights.
Several emails, and months of complaints, and I have nothing but an expsneive black cup.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service – Faulty Product and No Resolution

I purchased a $109 water bottle from Aquame and received it on 25 June 2025. Upon opening the sealed packaging, I found the lid was broken and wouldn’t close. A small part was missing, and it was not inside the box, indicating the product was already faulty before dispatch. The packaging itself was completely undamaged.

I contacted Aquame immediately, provided a photo, and asked for a replacement. Instead of acknowledging the fault, they repeatedly blamed Australia Post and told me to lodge a compensation claim — even though there was no sign of transit damage.

I clearly explained that the product was faulty on arrival, but they continued to deny responsibility and refused to offer a replacement or refund. Their last response implied I should send the broken lid back (at my own cost) without confirming any resolution. After I reiterated my rights under Australian Consumer Law and their own refund policy, they stopped replying entirely.

This has been one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Aquame failed to take responsibility for their faulty product, breached consumer law, and ignored my final email. I would not recommend buying from this business.
