I can't fault this company
I can't fault this company. I recently bought a hurley surf sup, when received there was cosmetic damage to the foam from the factory package process. I hot in touch with Aquaplanet customer support services and received a prompt reply offering money off my board a refund or exchange with there sincere apologise. I was able to send the board back free of charge. Unfortunately once my board had been received it had become out of stock and discontinued. Again with prompt replies I received an apology and a resolution. I was offered the wingtail surf sup at no additional cost. This is outstanding considering my initial board was £329 and this new board was £499. I greatly accepted and received the board the next day. I was able to try to board out on the river last night and I am truly impressed by the quality and performance of the board. I can wait to try it on some waves.
I felt that all communication with aquaplanet was easily, quick, responsive with resolutions offered. My customer service advisor was called Sarah, who was kind and understanding. I will definitely be using this company again.
Tedious & condescending customer care
I bought a kayak, mostly on their brand promise - having bought paddle boards in the past with no mishaps.
The kayak was delivered with a broken seat and a paddle that was poorly machined. The paddle simply would not connect fully.
There was no dispute over the seat. A promise to send a replacement was straightforward. However, over the space of a week, there were tiresome requests for pictures of the paddle. Plus requests to try assembling in different ways (it's only 3 pieces of metal!).
In the end, I filed down a fraction of a mm from the core handle and all was fixed.
But the pain of dealing with 'Customer Care' is not one I'd try again. Finally though, with a week of delay, I did get out on the water.

This is a lovely kayak at a very good price, the quality is a high Standard. Sarah who is on the end of the phone for aqua planet gave myself the best customer service I have ever received, I can’t wait to get out on the water , now for the downside the delivery company dpd are shocking 5 times I had to get my parcel redirected as apparently I wasn’t in (I was in ), I have to point out I live in a flat with a working lift but they still didn’t even call my buzzer ,Sarah was a massive help to me because this was the kayak for me I wasn’t giving up and with her help I eventually got it by sending it to my daughter house , so if you do live anywhere that is not ground floor please get your delivery sent to a house , thank you Sarah for all your help it is very much appreciate
Waterways licence discount
Signed up for Waterways licence as I'd foolishly let my subscription lapse (so £20 more for a new member!). With Aquaplanet this was reduced by 10% and allowed me to get on the water again straight away. My confirmation was received straight away and my licence showed within Paddleuk within 3 days, so very simple process.
Very happy and will be using again but for physical goods next time

Unfortunately rucksack arrived with rip in it. Contacted Customer services who were fantastic and the issue has been dealt with and another one sent within the hour of phoning them.

discovered a leak from deformed rubber under the valve at the back if the board they accepted the fault and took the board back

Used lots of cheap glue to sick parts together cutting corners to get them out the door.
My Friend had an aquaplanet for 3 years and is still going solid my conclusion is that they are cutting corners on cost and unfortunately the quality is slipping and getting worse unfortunately.

Eh. Not overly impressed, but they're not awful as a company
Well, as a company I think they're alright. However unfortunately I've recently had a bad experience with a hurley board from them, and after trying to submit a bad review on the website (there it is, submit a review, it needs to be approved), it's clear they aren't approving any of the low star reviews. So don't trust the website reviews, they seem to only show the 4 or 5 star ones.
They've been relatively good at communicating through my complaint however very quick to avoid me using my warranty on a clearly very bad quality hurley board. They've sent me glue to fix it myself but that doesn't vox the rips and cosmetic damage that has been caused by this clearly issue ridden board. Unfortunately because if this I won't be recommending them to anyone. I don't think they're a bad company and wouldn't be able to comment on their boards, but I've just had a personally bad experience so won't be going back, sorry.

Usual great service & product.
Not needed to buy anything from Aquaplanet for a while, so great to find service and quality are as good as ever. Bought a very good value replacement rucksack for my iSUP so I can take it to Greece this summer. My 10'6" board fits in easily with pump, paddle, some clothes, an extra kayak paddle and toiletries, shoes etc. Who needs a suitcase?!
