While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Registered but can't deposit yet due to high verification requirements

I registered and started the verification process but stopped when it got to facial recognition because I want to see some user reviews first, which is why I started this TrustPilot entry, they had none before that, which seems a little odd, though they are a new exchange, only opened in 2022, so that could be why. They have zero trading fees and low spreads so it makes me wonder how they make money. I suspect it may be one of those operations where you try to withdraw and they ask for documents and it's never good enough so your funds are stuck in there. Either that or the mandatory conversion of crypto to USD has a high spread, they don't state in the documentation what that spread is. They're licensed in Seychelles, which doesn't tell me much, a few long standing and seemingly legitimate exchanges are licensed there. You can't even deposit funds into AQX without the facial recognition, maybe even other steps, I don't know yet. They have higher levels of verification asking for proof of address and proof of source of funds. They do have good customer support though, I asked them about being able to use a photo holding a sign instead of facial recognition and they said no, but it was a prompt and courteous reply. I would try using the exchange if it weren't for the overly stringent verification requirements even just to deposit, at least until I find out from actual users how legit they really are, seems too good to be true, no other perpetuals and spot exchange has zero trading fees on everything.
