Ascent canopy faults
I had a new ARB Ascent canopy installed at the time I bought a new 2021 Ford Raptor from Macaulay Ford -as I thought they were the best. Unfortunately I had numerous different faults over the following 4 years.
This started with a window actuator failing, then a leak through the canopy rear roof spoiler fixings, a crack in the canopy itself directly below the cab window, then after a full replacement of the canopy the rear door did not close properly, then another leak from the roof spoiler fixing - again.
Each fault required me to return the vehicle to Ford Invercargill first for diagnosis then followed up by returning the vehicle to Ford for repairs or replacement. Living two hours drive away made this a very costly and time consuming exercise each time with no compensation from ARB or Ford.
Email contact to ARB NZ went unanswered and even Ford Invercargill were frustrated with lack of contact with them.
While all faults were eventually remedied under warranty there was never any contact or apology from them and I’m now glad to be rid of the vehicle.
Never again will I buy a canopy from ARB NZ.
Be wary.
