If you're a chronic bookworm (and I confess to being one) then you'll LOVE this site! The perfect online library! There are books from way back to the early 19thc, to recently published ones and there yours to borrow and read online!

And that's not all! music, movies and TV episodes are also available. I'm not saying you'll find every song or show you want, but there's quite a selection!

There are also news videos, clips from talk shows, documentaries, and a lot more!

You get access to media from other countries as well as then US.

The only drawback (not the site's fault) is from disgruntled authors who make a big thing about some of their books being available for free, and have their works taken off the site. Do they make the same fuss about brick-and-mortar libraries? It sure seems petty to me!

But don't let those entitled buzz kills bug you! This site is great, and worth checking out!

Lovely to access and read old, out of print, favourite books, on-line.

You can read allot of free books that would otherwise have to be played fore.

All I know is they have the 1776 Broadway version with Brent Spinner(1997). No reason to complain. Unlike other websites, It is free with no ads. If you are not happy with this website, I am sure you could find it on a website where you have to pay.

I thought this would be the perfect site for all those movies I can't find anywhere else. However the search engine is useless, less than useless actually. I lucked out and found the original Shogun tv mini-series and tried to watch it but the buffering is ridiculous. You get a few seconds of play before it starts buffering again. Absolutely pointless.

This site has a lot of books and movies available to borrow at no cost. They do welcome donations to help them operate and expand the catalog. If your looking for old books or movies or even sitcoms many are available on this platform. The site operates without interruptions unlike many other video streaming sites that stop and you have to restart and fast forward to where you left off. I highly recommend this site as I have been able to find everything I have searched for.

the internet archive is one of the most fun pages you could ever just browse around on, you can see so much. There is only ONE flaw, website owners are allowed to remove themselves. Sure there are probably legal reasons for this but man does it make me sad, i wish the internet archive would just hold strong and keep any and every website submitted to be preserved. Overall its very good though, 10/10 site

I've tried watching several Fassbinder films on IA. On each separate occasion the video's stopped playing midway through and wouldn't start playing again despite refreshing the page, closing and restarting the browser, clearing cache, etc, etc. Pretty annoying to be left hanging an hour or more into a film. My network is 3-5mbps. I realize that IA is free, but do expect the likely possibility that you might waste a fair amount of time trying to wrangle a video with Internet Archive. The 'please donate' window to help keep us going is insulting. If the site worked as it should one might be more inclined to help out monetarily. As it stands, I've spent my time – which is quite valuable to me, trying to figure get a video to resume playing. In another world IA would owe me money.

The Internet Archive has made material that was once almost impossible to find available to everyone. It's a bit tricky to get the hang of it, but really rewards a thorough exploration.

It's a wonderful website for old games that you can't get normally anymore. Sure they do pirate some things like E-Books but that's a small part of it.

Pirating page. They steal your stuff and make it extra hard for you to get it removed. This should be illegal. Or is it illegal ?

Internet Archive is the most wonderful website I’ve ever come across !! But I wish the organization had more free books available !

I needed to install an old version of PaintShop Pro 7 - whose disks I cannot find (even though I found the book and sleeve for the CD/DVDs). On a whim, I tried to search online and got lucky to find it here. The download worked perfectly and the application is exactly as I remembered. I COULD NOT be happier. I can't give this site enough positives.
