Appalling online customer service and returns process
I returned an item to the Manchester store in order to swap it for a different colour. Surprisingly the store said they couldn't refund the return as they have to return it to the warehouse first. I of course had to pay for the replacement there in store. Four weeks later I have still not received my refund, despite confirmation the return had been received a week later at their warehouse. I have chased an update via their online portal several times, only once receiving a perfunctory reply asking for proof of depost so they will investigate....I directed them back to my order number on their system showing the return was recieved back at their warehouse. It has been a week since they last replied to my emails. I still have not received my refund. My advice would be to not shop online at Arc'teryx if you are not 100% sure of the sizing and style, otherwise, should you need to return items, you may never see your money, or products, again.
Poor quality jacket, avoid
Really poor quality materials, both mine and my wife’s jacket have many tiny thread pulls and frays all over, we have only used our jackets for light walking but jackets look years old not the three months old that they are.
Customer service say mine is due to wearing a backpack a few times, despite my frays not being on the back or shoulders. Customer service ignored that my wife’s jacket looked the same despite her never using a backpack and seemed to blame my backpack somehow.
We were offered a discount for new jackets but only if we returned our current jackets for recycling which seemed to completely miss the point we are not happy with the items - I wouldn’t want to spend hundreds of pounds more to have the same issue again.
Lesson learnt, will avoid the brand in the future
Absolute Garbage.
Absolute Garbage.
Here I thought Arc'teryx stood for durability and quality. I bought a cerium hoodie and after wearing it ONCE, it had 5 micro tears. Compare this with a North Face Diablo vest which I have owned for over 2 years which does not have a single tear.
How can this Company release a product with such bad quality in the market, let alone justify the price tag?
AVOID at all cost, this company is just hype.
I have changed my experience to 2 stars as of 10/11/25 since Arc' issued a goodwill refund due to the manufacturing defects. Regardless, I'm forever worried that their quality is not up to standard and most likely will not be ordering again.
Quality does not match $$$$$
After years of supporting Arc'teryx and trusting its quality, I've decided to move on. A recent warranty experience was disappointing -- the company cited "fabric condition and wear and care" without clear explanation, despite my following all recommended care instructions. The partial credit offered did not reflect the product's cost or the brand's reputation for standing behind its gear. This experience has caused me to lose confidence in the company's commitment to its customers. Quality does not match price tag.
Arc'Teryx does not stand behind their products. They will leave you with damaged items and no recourse.
Bought their Granville 25 Backpack and used it with my Men's Atom Hoody. After a month, the rough backplate of the Granville had caused significant pilling and damaged the waterproofing of the Atom. I contacted Arc'Teryx customer service and they said it was normal and nothing would be done about it. For a 280$ backpack and 360$ jacket, I would expect them to stand behind the quality of their products.
Above and beyond customer service
We visited the Arc'teryx shop on Brookfield Place this morning to buy a couple of gifts for our children who couldn’t join us on holiday (two high quality cotton tops) which we then left in the hotel lobby by mistake. Realising the mistake when we reached the airport we called our hotel and the Arc'teryx Brookfield Place shop who then shared that they would be happy to collect the gifts and post them to our home in Germany! Absolutely incredible customer service. So grateful to everyone in the Arc’teryx team who made this happen!
I have been a loyal Arcteryx customer…but not any more!
I have been a loyal Arcteryx customer for 25+ years and have spent tens of thousands of dollars on apparel and equipment. I have a jacket that the seams have come unraveled. I decided to travel with my jacket on a business trip where there was a retail location that I could drop it off to send in for repair. The associate at the store was helpful in submitting my repair "request" on line but informed me that I would need to wait to send in my jacket on my own and pay for shipping once I received an approval for the repair. After emailing back and forth with the warranty repair associate Evan for about a weeks time frame, he came back and let me know that he was not able to repair or replace my jacket due to time. Although I only wear the jacket about 10 times a year, it is in brand new condition from my immaculate care for the jacket but was obviously flawed and the seams unraveled. Though he was very nice and respectful, he only offered me at first 20% but then went to 30% of my jackets value in the form of a credit and I had to send in my jacket for them to keep. This is not the service I would expect of a very high end brand and unfortunately, they have now permanently lost me as a customer. Beware of their poor commitment to quality!
I could not be more disappointed
I could not be more disappointed in Arc’teryx. I’ve wanted a jacket from them for the longest time but could never justify the cost. Someone close to me bought me and rated the item. Firstly, despite going off the measurements provided by the website, the jacket was too big. I’d heard that they run small so went the Large instead. Looking at the medium I knew that would also be too small so I figured I just had to suck it up and it would be worthwhile to have a warm, lightweight jacket. Not the case. I basically have ended up with a flimsy, expensive long sleeved shirt that I will only be able to wear on coolish summer days…. If at all. The fit and quality are also disappointing and not what I would expect for the price.

FAKE - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE!!!
I was looking at facebook and a ad came up, with super cheap Arcteryx stuff. I pressed the page and was very surprised about the cheap prices.
I looked more and more, I checked again if the website was real, and its really looked real, same pictures as 'the real Arcteryx website' But I noticed, some tings was spelled wrong, so it seemed wrong anyway, somethings didn't seem right. I checked 'trustpilot' and further down the page, some guy was writing about it, that this 'arcteryx-eu.com page was fake, and people did not get what they paid for. I was a little surprised by no more people was writing about it! -So doing it now! FAKE - FAKE!
5 jackets all failed at hem
I've got about 5 jackets, lightweight from hard to soft shells. The hem heat tape has failed on all of them! Absolute rubbish for the price paid. Arteryx ain't interested in hearing about it.
Service in store is bad
Service in store is bad. They do not listen and try to sell You something entirely different. Sizing is way off! Large is equivalent to a XLarge, the Medium is equivalent to a Small! When you ask the salesman, he gives you a snotty response! Ten Years Ago, excellent quality and customer service, fast forward to 2025 and it’s gone to shite for a product double the price of their competitors!
The slowest company out there takes…
The slowest company out there takes days to dispatch items then use UPS which is again the slowest company I have ever experienced all round experience is awful it’s a shame as the equipment is great but will look elsewhere from now on
Repairs service damage your items & won't respond.
I'm a long time customer of Arcteryx.
I sent a jacket through their repairs service from the Covent Garden store, for a simple return (fixing an elastic lead on the inside of one of the jacket pockets)
My jacket was returned to me with major damage to the jacket, with an entire seam replaced on another part of the jacket to where the repair area was. The outside of the jacket has substantial heat/glue damage & is unwearable.
I've contacted Arcteryx via email & phone multiple times over the last 10 days and have had no formal response.
This brand doesn't care about loyal customers, has a repair service that damage jackets even when making simple repairs & then ignores customers when they raise issues.
Avoid.
Arc’teryx is still pretty good
I’ve been using Arc’teryx gear for years and the quality really is top notch. My only small gripe is that the hardshells like the Beta jacket could use proper lift/pass pockets on the forearm — would make life on the slopes much easier.
What really impressed me recently was the service at their new stores. They cleaned one of my jackets and fixed another, no fuss at all. Super friendly and helpful staff — makes me feel good about sticking with the brand.
Re-bird repurchase program Rip off
Rip off. Sent in barely used jacket for repurchase in their “re-bird” buy back program, they claim it does not qualify but won’t explain why, and they just kept it without paying me. Basically stole my things with no explanation, very unethical
Shocking Customer Service/Poor Durability
Long term Arc'teryx customer and have multiple products. Atom jacket developed imperfection around collar area (wrinkled fabric). Product service request offered 40% voucher off of next purchase. Escalated to manager and was asked to send jacket in which I did and told somebody would call me back, multiple calls and a week later no contact. I am not sure what has happened at Arc'teryx however they will not be getting another penny of my money. At their price point I expected more especially as products meant to be durable, they even claimed facial hair caused imperfection even though I don't have facial hair.
Refused to take responsibility for defective product under warranty
I bought an Arc'teryx Beta AR Jacket in 2023 and recently noticed strange "bubbles" on the fabric. I sent it to Arc'teryx for assessment. They replied that the "jacket is not very old, but has severe GTX delamination on the sleeves and shoulders" and then immediately accused me of not washing it regularly, which is simply not true. Because they can't repair it, they said it's not covered under warranty and offered a measly 20% discount on a new jacket.
I have another Arc'teryx jacket I've cared for in the same way which doesn't have this issue and if you google "beta jacket delamination" you'll see this is fairly common, so it's clearly a manufacturing defect that Arc'teryx is refusing to take responsibility for, something which is unacceptable from a premium brand.
Alpha SV poor design and quality
The Alpha SV is not wide enough to go over a small/medium size mid layer jacket unless one purchases a large size. The sleeves are then ridiculously long. They have to be shortened to be wearable and then they are no longer waterproof. Water also gets through the jacket much more easily than it used to. It is not the quality it used to be.
Have used the Arcteryx brand since it was founded. Never again.
I was very disappointed with these shoes
I was very disappointed with these Arc’teryx shoes. After only a short wear, they gave me extremely painful blisters that even started bleeding. For such an expensive brand, I expected comfort and quality, but the design is very harsh on the feet.
What made the experience even worse was the company’s response. When I went back to the store, they told me that “these shoes are not for everyone” and did nothing to help. For a premium brand, that kind of customer service is unacceptable. I feel like I wasted my money and would not recommend these shoes if you value comfort, support, and good customer care.
Great Customer Support
Had an issue with my coat..,Arc’teryx sorted it…now that’s a good company…customer service was excellent…ta la
