Suport student stuff

Even the fact that I could not continue my academic study, meet also the teaching stuff and grow in this community, the support team is really kind and willing to help.
James had the patience to listen to my enquiries, direct them to the right department and get back with an answer promptly. It really helps receiving such a nice attitude.
Thank you once again James.

Made my day!

Aside from having a great experience throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate courses with Arden, recently, I was in need of desperately help to finish my PhD application to another university. The deadline was very near and I was struggling to get the required correspondence from the awards team. Jade, from the student support team was absolutely amazing! I can not rate this person highly enough! I spoke to Jade initially who told me not to worry and they would get it sorted for me. I was in tears at one point because the new university had rejected an email that showed what they wanted but Jade swooped in (yes, superhero-esque), and rescued me turning the upset tears in happy ones! I really hope Jade's manager sees this as Jade is so dedicated and reliable - thank you!

I am writing to express my sincere…

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the support I received today from Laura regarding the issues I encountered with the induction day information. Her professionalism and assistance were invaluable in alleviating my concerns, especially given the technical difficulties I experienced.

Despite missing the initial induction day, I am now looking forward to visiting the campus tomorrow. Knowing that there are supportive individuals like Laura available to assist students has significantly boosted my confidence.

Thank you for providing such excellent support.

Sincerely,
Niculina Solyom

Don't apply for this University

Don't apply for this University. Not only they will acuse you of using AI even if you don't, they will acuse you of misconduct if you improve in your assignments, like I did, lucky I had every notes I did, articles I use, etc. In the end they acuse me of buying my assignment, I prove my innocence just to have 48%, as 10% was granted. The classes materials have a lot of writing errors, it's embarrassing. I'm trying to move from this University, it's difficult. I'm starting year 1 on 15th of September, I have called twice about the timetable for this year and the modules, like always no one knows nothing. Today is 6th, They were supposed to send it 2 weeks before the start. When I called last time they said it was because I didn't have my last assignment grade....wtf, Of course I have, not only I have and I got a email from the University saying I pass foundation year and could enrol in the next year. They were supposed to call me back, they never did. At my work they ask me what days I'm studying, I couldn't tell them as I don't know, I don't know if it's the same days last year, same hours, etc. In this Uni, they just don't care, it's just about the money. They only care if your absent, you will be called and the conversation is going to be awful. If you apply for this Uni, please be aware if your tutor marks you absent, cause even this you have pay attention and then prove you were in the classes. To the Arden University, you should be ashamed of your services, I'm still with you just because I was not able to move yet for another University. You probably will know who I am, and I don't care. I'm moving out, just trying to find a University that can help me move and faster. I don't know if other campus are like this, but Tower Hill....avoid it.

Reply from Arden University

Dear Isa Esteves,

We are sorry to hear about your experience. Arden University takes academic integrity very seriously, and all suspected cases of misconduct are reviewed through a formal process in line with our Academic Regulations. Where concerns are raised, students are given the opportunity to provide evidence, and decisions are made by an academic panel.

Regarding timetables, these are normally released two weeks before teaching starts, and enrolment is dependent on final assessment results being confirmed on the system. We regret any delay or miscommunication you experienced.

Attendance is a regulatory requirement, and students are expected to engage with classes. Where absences are recorded, the University has a duty to follow up.

We encourage you to raise a formal complaint through the University’s complaints procedure so your concerns can be investigated properly.

Sincerely,
Arden University

Don't study with Arden.

This "university" uses TurnItIn AI probability checker on anything you submit, including your application and personal statement. Long story short, the AI probability checker is not reliable, for example, a personal statement might flag as 60% AI because you didn't quote or reference often, which as you might guess, is near impossible on a personal statement, unless you're already famous and have books about yourself, and might I add the AI probability changes drastically when you submit the same text again and again? There is no clear way of checking if something was written by an LLM, unless you're 7 and wrote a PHD level paper. I applied for a level 6 Computing top up degree, and they already suspected me of using LLM's for a personal statement written in 2020, before LLM's. Just imagine how you're going to be harrassed and falsely accused each time you submit your assignments.
