Poor customer service

Booked my wedding here in November 2024 for August 2026.
They have been taken over by new owners and 3 weeks after this they have then decided to cancel all weddings for next year.
No compensation for the stress and anxiety caused. Poor management of the whole situation.
Not only will I not return to Ardencote but I will not be visiting their other spa hotels either

Absolutely appalling and unprofessional

Absolutely appalling. We booked our wedding here and booked it in May 2023 for May 2026. We were informed in September 25 that they were just cancelling our venue due to being taken over by Barons Eden group. Disgusting unprofessional treatment. Avoid - still no apology and no compensation for distress or inconvenience. Wouldn’t step foot in the place again.

As soon as I walked in

As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the tranquil ambiance and beautiful decor. The staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel like a valued guest.

I began my visit with a deep tissue massage, which was tailored to target my specific areas of tension. The therapist was incredibly skilled and attentive, and I felt a significant release in my muscles by the end of the session. Next, I enjoyed a revitalizing facial that left my skin glowing. The aesthetician provided expert advice on skincare, which I found very helpful.

I spent some time there after my treatments, feeling completely at peace. It’s worth every penny!

I am writing to express my profound…

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the treatment I received at Ardencote Manor and Spa this morning. Having been a member for nearly 30 years on and off, I am deeply dismayed by the recent decline in service and professionalism.

On two separate occasions, including this morning, I was left waiting to access the gym due to an issue with my membership card. Despite my long-standing membership, I was made to feel like a non-member. On both occasions, the staff member in charge prioritised training a new employee over assisting me, causing significant inconvenience.

When I raised a complaint about this treatment, I was informed that I am no longer permitted to enter the gym. This response is not only unprofessional but also deeply troubling, given my long-term commitment to your establishment.

The quality of service at Ardencote Manor and Spa has deteriorated significantly in recent months. I strongly advise potential members to reconsider their decision to join this gym.

I hope this feedback will prompt a review of your customer service policies and lead to improvements in the treatment of your loyal members.

I stayed at the one in Warwick a year…

I stayed at the one in Warwick a year ago and I still feel traumatised by it now.

I stayed for my 30th birthday and did a spa break, with meals. I am coeliac.

For my dinner, I asked the waitress if it was GF and she wasn't sure so asked and said it was. She wasn't very clear on allergies. When it came out I asked the server if mine was GF (and sometimes communication breaks down or you get brought the wrong plate, not worth me being ill and off work for weeks...) and the waitress wasn't sure (so shouldn't have been handling my plate anyway after she had just handed out lots of bread rolls). She went up to the waitress who had taken my order and asked if it was GF, and that middle aged waitress shouted across the restaurant at me with a look on her face like I was being ridiculous that 'she had already told me it was GF'. No awareness of how to handle allergy foods at all.

When you have an allergy, and mine triggers an immune reaction, and you make a restaurant aware they need to not only check the ingredients are GF but they need to avoid cross contaimination. As part of that, everyone involved with your food needs to know. Certainly that includes the person bringing you food out who also handles out all the gluten containing bread rolls and hadn't washed their hands inbetween. Needless to say it ruined my 30th birthday meal as I couldn't eat the meal and was humiliated and made to feel dreadful by this awful ill informed uneducated waitress.

I complained to the hotel and asked for a partial refund to cover meals, they said no. They gave me no real apology and felt they had done nothing wrong.

I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated…

I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated with regards to my experience with this hotel. I booked a night away but due to my wife's ill health have to cancel. I believe that it's is only fair to receive a refund as it's not fair as your at no actual loss due to the cancellation and have sufficient enough time to book the room again. I will be reporting your hotel to the Competition and Markets Authority as you are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act. You have shown no emphathy or flexibility with regards to my case.
