Really poor communication after the…
Really poor communication after the delivery date was not met with + 2 days, and no response on my questions. Then I receive a message they the product was not good with some defects!? How could they not know that from the beginning?? Are they posting products they do not know the condition of?? I was honestly skeptical ordering from…
I was honestly skeptical ordering from Retro Tale because the price on the Saint Laurent crescent moon necklace was SO much lower than other resellers. It almost felt too good to be true. But I’m happy to say the necklace is 100% authentic and arrived super fast. Packaging was great and the piece is gorgeous in person.
Only downside was having to pay $67 in duties upon delivery thanks to the orange 🍊 guy 😒 — but even with that, the total was still a much better deal than anywhere else I found. Would definitely shop here again!

I find it quite unfair to be charged 57 CHF in customs and insurance fees without having been informed beforehand.
The option to insure the shipment should be proposed to the customer, not imposed automatically. In addition, for customers living in Geneva, it would be helpful to offer delivery to a relay point in France in order to avoid unnecessary customs charges.
More transparency regarding these additional costs before payment would be greatly appreciated.

Disappointed. Bought a white bag that had faded red marks in front and back of the bag that was not disclosed in the description. Marks are visibly noticeable and cannot be missed when inspecting and listing the product. Listed photos may have been edited or brightened with studio light because I was not able to see the marks in pics. It is very much noticeable in person. Bag also had distinctive musky, storage smell that was not disclosed either. All that description said was very good, light trace of use in general/external/internal condition. Had to pay 20% import fee/tax at UPS. A retro tale only had 15% export deal and no other first time, email subscription promotion as advertised. Initially emailed their customer service in English about the new customer promotion code after opting into email subscription, and received a reply in another language, I’m assuming Swedish, where they’re based in. If they’re shipping to other countries and customer emailed in English, I’m expecting a reply in English. I had to Google Translate. Not sure if I’d recommend aretrotale or use them again due to poor customer service and lack of transparency.
