I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by the bus company Arriva Croatia. I exclusively travel with your buses because of the professionalism of both your staff and the drivers from other countries who work for you. I would also like to mention my satisfaction with the prices. I would especially highlight the safety and quality of the service you provide. I highly recommend you.

Staff was nice. There was a huge delay. We ended up waiting for another bus that would take us to Zagreb and the one we came with was going to Rijeka. We had no idea which is awesome if you’re a girl at night. The bus was also delayed so nothing went as planned.

On their website the drive hours for rijek Zagreb are not correct and it seems deliberately. It says trip lasts 2h but actually in reality it is almost 3 hours. This is very shameful because trucking people and they miss their appointments or buses trains if they continue somewhere else. Why is it problem to put the real time of drive? the bus goes from the autocesta to first to Fužine to collect nobody. Simply waisted driving just to bus to turn and go back to autocesta. Them This again with Vrbovsko. And then also before Zagreb goes off autocesta in some god forbidden place where is only put and also it doesn't stand just tens and goes back to autocesta. Si time from Rijeka to Zagreb 3h Without stopping without toilets.

Horor on the bus from Istria to Zagreb on 5.10.2025
The bus had no heat for 5 hours, the weather that they was ranging from pouring rain and snow thru Učka with 4C!! In Rijeka verbal complain was done at Arriva's office. The drivers told us they put official request for heat to be fixed, but nothing was done. They were driving with OPEN window and while driving both of them were wiping of condensatiin from the windshild so they can see the road!! The bus was žig-zagging all the time!! IT looked scary for 5 hours!!! Arriva is stating that there were no technical issues with the bus and no refund of ticket price was granted upon my request!!
Do not used them since customer safty is not their ultimate goal!!! Do not recommend them due to safty concerns!!
Actually I don't know what to add, everything described is true. The worst bus company existing. Toilet broken, you pay extra, staff is rude, to late and no service. Maybe Croatian people just accept it. I mean it wasn't even cheap, there are other cheaper companies, take those instead.

Trip Zagreb-Fuzine-Rijeka was changed in bus, we went to Vrbovsko, unplanned and no passengers to/from Vrbovsko.
Delay in Rijeka 45min & lost connections to next trip.

I’m genuinely frustrated with the unprofessionalism of this company. The constant delays are by far the worst part. I’ve used this company far too many times to travel to my place of study, mainly because it had the most frequent routes - but not anymore!! Not until I hear from someone that things have actually improved. I’d rather take any other form of transport!
Where do I even start… The bus NEVER, and I mean NEVER arrives on time. Waiting times range from at least half an hour to even over an hour and a half. It’s a disgrace for the people who put their trust in this service to get somewhere on time!!
To be fair, I’ve never had issues with the drivers themselves or the cleanliness of the buses (though, yes, passengers sometimes leave trash behind and it's also true that foreign drivers do need better training).
But today was my LAST straw: I waited again in the sun, together with 40 other people, the bus departed 45 minutes late while, in the meantime, the driver calmly sat locked inside the bus, probably waiting for his conductor who was running late… No apology, no explanation, not even a hint of consideration for the poor people waiting, some of whom likely had somewhere important to be.
Looking back on my previous rides, buses have been constantly late throughout the entire year, regardless of the season. And don’t even get me started on how they always oversell tickets, so POOR PASSENGERS end up having to stand the entire journey. (WHERE IS THE CONTROL?! SOMEONE COULD SERIOUSLY GET HURT!) Thankfully it never happened to me, but I truly hope those affected at least got some kind of compensation.
Is it really so hard to be more efficient, to adjust the travel time realistically (instead of misleading people into thinking the trip is shorter than it actually is)…? Why not offer some kind of live bus tracking so people aren’t left waiting endlessly at the station, hoping in vain the bus will arrive on time?
Arriva - when you actually start ARRIVing on time, maybe you’ll win back my trust. Until then… ARRIVederci!

I made several trips with Arriva buses around Croatia. Delays of more than 15 minutes are frequent (but may be unavoidable as long as Croatia doesn't build a good railway network).
The worst was a bus which picked me up 2 hours late without any communication; I was lucky there were other people waiting for it, one of whom had received an email about it (what did I give my email address and phone number for?).
Also terrible was a 9-hour journey without any break long enough to buy food or even just go to the toilet! That's just insane.
I'm still granting them a 2nd star because the buses are modern and quite clean, and the driving was decent from what I've seen.

I was traveling from Rogoznica to Primosten 14.09.2025. Bus had 18min delay. On the way back Primosten- Rogoznica delay 1hrs!!! There were no other connections to get anywhere. People were trying to make groups to take an Uber. Unacceptable time of delay!

Avoid at all cost, the Rab Zagreb line ,one driver without rest despite law, the company doesn,t care if you will arrive alive, after Zagreb the same driver drove to a new destination without a break

I had a bad experience with this company on August 9th and wrote an opinion about it. I also complained to the company. As a result, they revised the situation and I got my money refunded, which is why I'm changing my mind and giving them a better mark. Still, I'm not giving them a better result as I think this has been a personal solution but they need to improve their public service by arriving at the right time or else informing the public of any mishap that is keeping the bus from arriving on time. I also think it is necessary to state it clearly when buying the ticket that luggage needs to be paid for separately.

Highly unreliable, 40+ min late both ways between Split and Trogir without any updates or information, would absolutely not book here again

My five stars go to the amazing bus driver😎
So, the bus on the line Poreč Zagreb has some bad problems with air conditioning. Literally, the water is falling on the passengers🥶😱😱😱. They even changed seats, luckily, the bus isn' to full. Then the water starts to fall on the bus driver 🥶😱😱😱 poor man just keeps driving and never says anything negative. He is also, alone. Doesn't have a fellow driver like it was when I went to Poreč. So he handles the passanger tickets, their luggage and this broken bus with a SMILE. THAT is unbelievable! Such a great patience is so rare to see these days, I am impressed!!! Please give this man a raise🙌🙏🙏🙏

We took the Arriva Bus 2 Times during our trip.
the first time we had 2h of delay , the journey from Split to Drage that suppose to last 2h15. The second trip, the bus arrived 45 min late on a trip of 50min.
We had to pay for the luggage.
Plus the toilet were locked, when the journey lasts 4hours it is inacceptable

Bus drivers shouting and saying they will throw me out of the bus (suspecting I was laying when I said I have a ticket) in the middle of nowere (it was night) just because I coudn't make log in to the app and show the ticket in the first minute (I thought I made a screenshot but I didn't so I needed a minute to make a log in to the application and show them my ticket.
They were also late 45 minutes.

Awful. I took the bus in May from Split to Zadar. Bus arrived late, got delayed further on route, arrived 90 mins late (it's a 2hr journey) + I missed my onward connection. Contacted customer services for a refund which I was due by their T+Cs and they simply refused.
Important to note.. their buses I realise often take the small back routes not the motorways unlike say Flixbus so are prone to delay. That's bad.. them not caring about their customers is worse.

I have used Arriva in other countries, finding a pretty good standard of service. However my experience of Arriva in Croatia was awful from start to finish. Abrupt ticket sales, an even more abrupt abd rude ticket collector. Charge for luggage, which wasn't offered or mentioned beforehand. The 5+ hour trip from Rovinj to Zagreb on a coach with a broken toilet made life interesting.
Arriva need to up their game and make improvements to this service.
