THE BIG RUN AROUND!

THE BIG RUN AROUND! The install process was good however, after that it has been nothing but a run around. After the install the city inspector came out and said that the waterspout was not properly placed and water was running under my front room and puddling. I called and was told someone would be calling me back. First, they didn't respond for 2 days. After many attempts to get ahold of someone, first they argued that the city inspector and I were wrong. After that they complied and scheduled a date for them to return to fix the issue. June 2nd. They did not show up. Called again and had another conversation about the issue to yet another person who again tried to say it wasn't their fault again that failed and we scheduled another appointment. June 5th. Again, they did not show, another round of the same above. Rescheduled for June 9th and they didn't show, this time apparently, they were running behind even though I had a morning appointment. Rescheduled again for tomorrow...June 10th. Do I actually think they will show...nope. At some point I will need to take legal action. This is for my mother's property, and she is 76 years old and not in the best health. Not only is it terrible business practice, the indifference to my mother's age or health is appalling!

Quoted $4,000 in Repairs—Turns Out the AC Was Fine

We called this company for same-day service after our guests reported that the air conditioning had stopped working during very hot weather in Spring Hill, Florida.

The technician told us that the evaporator coil had failed (which is under warranty), pointed out several other alleged issues with the system, and quoted approximately $4,000 in repairs for labor. We were also told that the unit was frozen solid and that multiple components were not functioning properly. During the conversation, we felt pressured to make a quick decision.

Fortunately, we decided to have another HVAC company inspect the system before proceeding. The second company thoroughly checked the unit, including refrigerant pressures and overall operation, and found that the system itself was functioning properly. They determined that the freeze-up was caused by a clogged air filter restricting airflow. After the unit was properly defrosted and the airflow issue was corrected, the AC returned to normal operation.

Based on our experience, the diagnosis and repair recommendation from the first company were completely inconsistent with what was actually wrong. We are very disappointed and concerned that expensive repairs were recommended when they were not needed.

For that reason, we would not use this company again and cannot recommend them to others. We strongly encourage homeowners to get a second opinion before authorizing major HVAC repairs.
