We love Art-K Southville. My 8 year old loves Lilly and Emma and she always has a fantastic time. Holiday art workshops are now a staple for us and part of our holistic wellbeing routine. They always have fun projects ready for each day, provide fantastic guidance and direction while allowing for individual freedom and I always collect a calm and happy child after. They also accept tax free childcare payments which is a big benefit for us (Only art class I know that does this!).

I booked a session as a Christmas present for my two nieces (aged 8 and 10). They loved it! The artist made them feel comfortable and at ease and the artwork they produced was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Art-k is different from other classes I have attended in that each student is working on something different that appeals to them rather that everybody doing the same whether it appeals to them or not.

My Daughter Izzy has attended Art K for the last three years and still enjoys going every week. The highlight this year was having Izzy’s art work showcased at Ashton Court. Izzy was very proud showing her family the work she had been doing in such an amazing setting. We would like to thank Emma for all her hard work and effort organising the event. It was the highlight of Izzy’s year.

Emma was a really special facilitator, guiding my granddaughter in a supportive and enabling manner during the family workshop.
I think this is a lovely community art project, it was a fair price and I would definitely attend again in the future.

My 8 and 11 year old sons go to a class each summer as a special treat. It is their favourite holiday club. I heard my 11 year old son (who is normally not into art at all) describe it to his mate “it’s really good because they actually make you feel like you’re good at art”… he also comes home with something he’s proud of and and has enjoyed making. My 8 year old most definitely is inspired each time and usually wants to create a second piece as soon as he’s home. Thank you

My 10 year old son has been attending Art-k Southville, Bristol for a year and a half.. He has really enjoyed the classes and improved his Art skills . As a parent I have been really impressed .. Emma and team are so helpful and work so hard.. The end of term Exhibition at Ashton Court was so well done. But going to London Oxo Gallery to view my sons picture was such a highlight.. I really recommend Art-k as a great environment to learn new Art skills..

My 13 year old daughter goes to Art-K in Bristol and absolutely loves it. Emma and her team have taught her so many skills and the work she produces is amazing. We've been able to gift some to family and she's had her own mini exhibition as part of a local art event. It's a really lovely place and activity for a child who is interested in art. We love it!

Our son Seb (now 12) has been attending Art-K since he was 6, and our daughter Elisa (9) joined two years ago. It's hard to overstate what a positive influence Art-K has been for both of them. The classes have not only nurtured their artistic skills but also supported their confidence, patience, and creativity.
Over the years, Seb has developed an incredible eye for detail and technique, trying out everything from clay sculpture to watercolours and pastels. He was particular proud of his Van Gogh tree and is now working on a large scale Hockney to go over the mantelpiece. Elisa loves coming to Art-K with her friend India, exloring different materials and letting her imagination run wild—she’s always so excited to show us what she’s made.
The tutors are kind, skilled, and encouraging. They give each child the time and support they need to develop at their own pace, and the atmosphere is always welcoming and calm. It’s a space where our children feel free to be themselves.
We feel very lucky to have found Art-K. It’s been a consistent, joyful part of our children’s week and something they both truly look forward to.

The teachers provide a wonderful, welcoming and safe environment and my child has thrived at these classes. Rafy started off quite nervous but now runs in the door extremely confident and has produced numerous pieces of work. She is trying so many different styles and has been lucky enough to be part of two exhibitions this year in both Bristol and London. If your child is interested in art, then I couldn’t recommend these classes enough.

We've been part of the club for many years now and wholeheartedly recommend the classes to everyone. It was a wonderful experience to progress to more advanced projects as our daughter transitioned to Secondary School this year. Emma, our club leader, has been incredibly supportive and always happy to help—thank you for your continued dedication.
A true highlight this term was the local end-of-year exhibition at Ashton Court Mansion. It was a fantastic celebration and beautifully showcased the students’ work. We’d love to see it become a regular feature on the calendar for next year!
Unfortunately, our experience at the OXO exhibition wasn't as positive. After making the trip from Bristol, we were disappointed to find that our daughter's tile was either missing or not visible. It was disheartening, and we wanted to share this feedback in the hopes it can be improved in the future.

My daughter has been doing the Home Ed class. She was quite under confident about her ability, but came home beaming after the second session, saying 'Hey Mum, I can do art - who knew?!'
Thank you!

Our seven-year-old daughter has been truly inspired by her workshops at art-K Southville over the past couple of years, and we are constantly amazed by the quality of projects she brings home. A particular highlight this year was the wonderful end-of-year exhibition held at Ashton Court. It was a pleasure to see the joy and pride on our daughter's face when she saw her work on display. It also taught her the important lesson that art is for sharing and displaying, not just an academic pursuit. Thank you Emma and the team!

My daughter really enjoys her art classes with Emma and the team in Southville. It allows her time to be calm and considered, to challenge her creativity in lots of different ways with different mediums, and the staff are incredibly kind and supportive. The summer exhibition that the staff curated at Ashton Court was a brilliant celebration of all the students' creativity and it was a wonderful way of seeing all the work through the classes. Thank you so much to the team for organising such an event - my daughter was thrilled to see her artwork on the wall in a very impressive setting. I understand the costs of wages and materials etc but these classes are pricey - we won't stop coming but I'm glad that Granny pays!

My son continues to thoroughly enjoy his weekly class. Thank you again for all the work that went into arranging the children’s end of year exhibition. It was a great idea - such a wonderful way to celebrate what everyone has created, and our son was really proud to see his work up on the wall!

My 8 year old and 6 year old started the after school club this summer and they have absolutely loved it. Emma and her team involve the kids with such enthusiasm and they make the sessions fun and have a great amount of patience with them. I’ve been amazed at the level of detail that my kids have gone to with their projects - they feel really proud of having their own art book and they love the structure of ‘starters’ and building on their final pieces. It’s been a breath of fresh air to have my kids in a really well thought out after school club and I can see their confidence and joy growing each week. Thank you so much!

I loved the adult classes. You can choose what you want to focus on. It is a really relaxed atmosphere and not intimidating at all. Lovely class to go to in the evenings.

I think art k is a great place to Experience drawing art which sometimes is out of your comfortable zone which makes you grow confidence into it. It also offers a variety of choices of what art you pick to do in classes.

My son has been doing these classes since he was 8 years of age, now 12 and a half and still loving the safe space filled with everything he loves. Could recommend more highly to nurture a budding artist.
