Negative experience at art department…

Negative experience at art department Eindhoven 2025
Thursday March 20.

Today my work was shown at the event. I was approached by TAD so I thought "oh great! This is a big opportunity for me”

Unfortunately as a participant I did not get an entrance ticket but, I thought "okay, I want to see my work exhibited" so I bought a ticket for 37.50. I managed to arrange a day off from my work and did everything I could to be there on time. The discord showcase was supposed to start at 13:30, where my work was going to be displayed. I was there at 13:25 and had taken a seat. I thought it was very strange because almost no one was in the room. Then I checked the program again and it did indeed say that it was supposed to start at 13:30. But now comes the twist, the showcase had started much earlier than planned. This is unfortunate , because I had not seen my work and could not talk to the other artists afterwards. Money spent for nothing, and my vacation day from work is also lost. I walked to the crew behind the scenes to ask if it was possible to share my drawing on the screen one more time, to quickly take a picture for my PORTFOLIO. It hurt me when I got her mean and dismissive reaction. I was treated like I was nothing. There was no human way of saying no, but rather rejected as if I was bothering her. I was a participant and expect help and support especially from people from the CREW. But I didn't give up yet, then I had a conversation with Maria (communication manager). Unfortunately Maria could only help me by giving me a picture that is not suitable for portfolio work. Then she asked me if I would possibly be at the event again tomorrow. It is a 4 hour drive for me in total (there and back) and I do not have a ticket for Friday March 21st. I think it is a shame that no solution was offered. this experience was unprofessional, and I hope that the people who are going tomorrow get to see everything at the right time , i still recommend not trusting the schedule in any case.

Great customer service

Great customer service. My framed print arrived damaged after being stepped on (footprints were showing) by the delivery driver.

The guys at Art Department responded straight away and arranged a replacement.

I would give 5 stars, but although the artwork is awesome I found the framing feels a little cheap in comparison to others and there aren't any options.
