Looks like a scam, acts like a scam…

I put about $56 worth of craft supplies in my basket at artmaterialdepot.com. I also gave them all my credit card details. When I pressed Place Order, the screens started getting weird. Got a notification with a code and had to enter that code number on another screen “to validate”. Then came the Preparing Secure Payment Gateway screen, then the Synchronizing Settlement Data screen, then the Authenticate screen, then a pink note that Verification Failed because “card type is not supported”. Hmmm. The payment screens all had this address: honglucomff.shop. Who is that? I wrote to the email address attached to the street address at the bottom of the webpage - somewhere in Dallas. This looks like a scam. So far no charges pending on my credit card. Will update if anything changes. By the way, some of their prices for art supplies are reduced and some are the same as other well-known shops. Wasted time on this.

This website is a scam

This website is a scam. I "registered" and never received a login email to "reset my password". The order process looked normal, until I went to pay. I was going to select PayPal, but was not given the option even though it was showing on the screen. Instead it sent me to an odd web address to fill in my credit card information. Then, after paying, my order showed on the website dashboard that the order was "Pending". No email was received confirming my order after it was placed, but, I did receive a possible fraud notice from my credit card company. I contacted the credit card company and told them I had just placed an online order, but the merchant details said "MOTOMANIA GENERAL STAN". The credit card company could not find any details leading back to Art Material Depot. I accepted the charge since I had placed the order, but I followed up with an email to Sales@artmaterialdepot, which is the contact information on the website. In the email I told them my credit card company had flagged my order as possible fraud and could they send me an invoice via email showing my total order with tax included (it was not showing tax collected on the website for my order). The next day I checked the ArtMaterialDepot.com website for my order and the status was changed to CANCELLED. Also, the charge on my credit card did not go through, rather it remained pending. When I noticed the cancelled order, I called my credit card company and immediately had them cancel my card and send me a new one. My advice... DON'T ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE.
