3 weeks no contact lenses

I was told my contact lenses would arrive in about a week, but after three weeks with no update, I had to call and ask about the delay. I was then told my prescription simply takes longer than usual—yet, coincidentally, the lenses showed up exactly one week later, nearly a month after ordering. It strongly felt like my order hadn’t been placed when it should have been.

On top of that, I’ve visited the office three separate times, and each time the front desk was unattended, making it difficult to get any assistance. Overall, the experience has been disorganized and frustrating. I would recommend looking into more reliable and professional options elsewhere.

Not what I expected from a professional eye clinic

I chose this clinic based on their online presence and expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations at all. The waiting area was crowded, and even after arriving on time, I had to wait for over an hour. No one from the staff informed me about the delay, which felt unprofessional. When I finally met the doctor, the consultation felt rushed and lacked proper explanation. I left feeling confused rather than reassured.

Poor Service, Bad Attitude

I had a very frustrating experience here. The optometrist, Dr Bao Pham, was unprofessional and came across as quite rude. He provided incorrect information about my insurance and did not attempt to verify anything by contacting the provider directly.

I have an out-of-state insurance plan, which he repeatedly insisted was Medicaid, despite that not being the case. When I tried to clarify, he seemed confused about how my coverage works and became defensive, even interrupting me and saying things like, “Are you going to let me finish?”

After waiting about 30 minutes, I decided to end the interaction and asked for my ID and insurance cards back so I could go elsewhere.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend Art of Sight Eyecare to anyone expecting respectful and professional service.

I made an appointment at the Broadway…

I made an appointment at the Broadway St office after seeing several positive online reviews. Although the person who scheduled my appointment was somewhat rude, I brushed it off, assuming it might just be a one-off experience.

After waiting two weeks for my appointment, I was shocked when I arrived. The office was in complete disarray—patient files were scattered across the waiting room floor, the frame racks were mostly empty, and the overall environment felt unprofessional. The staff’s behavior only made things worse.

After waiting 40 minutes to see the doctor, I was informed by the receptionist that I could only pay in cash because their card machine was down and they didn’t accept checks. When I asked why patients hadn’t been notified in advance, another staff member—who had been sitting in the waiting room on his phone—responded dismissively, saying it would take too long.

At that point, I gathered any documents containing my personal information and left immediately. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend choosing another provider—there are far better options available.

I almost never write reviews

I almost never write reviews, but my experience here was so frustrating that I felt compelled to share it.

I scheduled a 5:00 PM eye exam online and arrived early, spending some time picking out frames before being directed to the waiting area. However, I wasn’t called in for pre-exam testing until 6:00 PM—an hour after my scheduled appointment. At that point, I was told the optometrist wasn’t in that day and that my exam would be done virtually, which somehow takes longer. This was never disclosed when I booked the appointment.

After completing the initial testing, I was moved to another exam room and told a remote technician would join within two minutes. Instead, I waited about 10 minutes with no update. The staff member in the room then informed me that if the remote technician didn’t log on soon, we would have to reschedule because they may have already closed for the day.

Apparently, it’s normal for the remote team to sign off without notifying the in-store staff, and there’s no way for the location to contact them. By this point, it was 6:30 PM—an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment.

Needless to say, I chose not to reschedule. I left without completing my exam or purchasing glasses. The entire experience was a complete waste of time, and I can’t understand how this kind of disorganization is considered acceptable.

I’m very disappointed with the service…

I’m very disappointed with the service I received here. This was my first time switching optometrists in over a decade due to an insurance change, and since Art of Sight Eyecare accepted my new plan and was conveniently located, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was off—no one greeted me, even though no staff members were assisting other customers at the time.

Things didn’t improve during my appointment. When I sat down with the representative, Mario, to order my glasses, he seemed distracted and was talking to a coworker throughout the process. As a result, my order was placed incorrectly and I received the wrong glasses.

After waiting two weeks, I was told I needed to pay an additional $30 because the glasses I originally selected were more expensive than the ones that had been mistakenly ordered. I explained that the error wasn’t mine and asked if any accommodation or discount could be offered given the inconvenience. However, I was told I would need to pay the difference before they could proceed with correcting the order.

Overall, this was a frustrating experience caused by a lack of attention to detail and poor customer service. I will not be returning after I receive my corrected glasses.

Worst vision appointment I’ve ever…

Worst vision appointment I’ve ever experienced. I went in to get fitted for contact lenses, but the entire process was extremely disorganized. After waiting about an hour and a half, they told me I needed to come back for a separate “contact lens” appointment. The technician was also very rude during the visit.I was charged for the first appointment, and then charged again for the second appointment just for the lenses. During the second visit, I waited another hour and 45 minutes while the doctor kept going back and forth between me and other patients. In the end, they told me I would need to come back for a third appointment because Dr. Pham “did not understand what I wanted.” The whole experience felt like a waste of time and money.Terrible business. I would recommend steering clear.

Terrible place to get your eyes…

Terrible place to get your eyes checked. They don’t clearly explain the pricing beforehand, even though they claim they do. I paid $310 for an eye exam, and after the appointment they told me I owed an additional $90 because they ran extra tests without informing me first. When I questioned the charge with the billing staff, they said they had a recording of them telling me the exam would start at $310 and could possibly cost more. That was never made clear to me during the visit. The staff were rude throughout the entire experience, which only made the situation more frustrating. On top of that, the doctor didn’t seem very thorough during the exam.Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this place.

I had a 2:00 PM appointment and wasn't…

I had a 2:00 PM appointment and wasn't seen until 3:15 PM. What’s the point of scheduling? When I finally got in, the exam felt rushed like they were trying to make up for their own delay. Definitely didn't feel like an 'art'—more like a conveyor belt.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Unprofessional staff, especially Bao, who was extremely difficult when dealing with a child's eye care. They expected a child to figure out contact lenses and required multiple return visits just to see a real doctor. I would not recommend it.
