Frustrating App

Frustrating App
Everytime I try to log in my password doesn't work and I have to waste time to reset it. I wanted to send a message for tomorrow but there's a difficulty to log in so I have to ring surgery in the morning. Also communication from the surgery is useless through this tool. You don't know what to expect when you are going to be contacted by medical staff.

I wouldn;t even give this service a 1 star rating . Absolutely useless

I wouldn;t even give this service 1 star , On my second day of trying to complete a request using a saved draught and again the online sevice closed before I could complete my request. The service only appears to be operational for around 5 minutes per day, so unless you are a fast typer the average person has no time to complete their request before the service disconnects the session. Now waiting for day 3 as practice only taking emergency calls due to staff shortages and I only want to request a change of medication due to the side effects

Useless

Useless!
Even though I am still young and using technology every day at home and work, I cannot use this app.
When it comes to medicine and doctor-patient relationship, I need to have a normal contact. Truly, it is disgusting that a sick person needs to go through all that and is not even able to hear a human voice for reassurance when they need it most!
The list of problems that people might turn to their GP with is very short. I personally found that list useless. I actually contacted a doctor (with receptionist's help!) and had to wait for a call back next day! So next day, I had my phone with me all day at work expecting doctor's call, which never came! Doctor called the following day when I didn't have my phone with me!!!
Moreover, I think such a patient "treatment" as this app is, is going to bring more distress to patients lives and their health. And it will add to slower recovery.

Not so bad but needs thinking through

Not as bad as made out here, but needs improvement. For my practice the main issue is that it takes NO messages except between 8 and 9:30 in the morning. I accept that there won't be a GP at the other end at other times, but it's not just used for that, it's used for e.g. booking appointments, I just had the experience of having a call with the doctor who said I need to get a further blood test and she would authorise it but I would need to call the nurse to arrange a time. So I did call the nurse who told me that the doctor hadn't authorised a blood test and I had to call the practice to get it authorised. So I called the practice who told me they don't take non-urgent calls and I needed to do it on AskMyGP. But I can't do that for four days because it's Friday and it's after 9:30am. I work and I am commuting and generally very busy in that timeslot, yet there are no others available on any day, I often miss it because it slips my mind until after the daily morning rush! I should be able to write a message requesting the authorisation at any time on AskMyGP.

It needs to be thought through a little more, but honestly when it's working well, it does work, had some appointments through it that went through fine.

Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely dreadful! Told them I had a swollen leg, went through loads of silly questions, then got told it wasn't important so I'd get an appointment in 6-8 weeks. When I did see the doctor, it was so UNIMPORTANT that he sent me to hospital for an immediate scan! Now, I had a work place Health Check, and was told to contact my medical practice for an appointment for another check and blood tests. askmyGP said they didn't book those sorts of things and to contact my practice. I did so only to be told that they didn't do health checks and I'd have to go to my local pharmacy. "Do they do blood tests?" I asked. "No. We do those." "Ah, so can I get one then?" "Well you have to book those through askmyGP." AAAAARGH!

Awful User Experience!

The online information is written in a light grey font - absolutely frustrating for old people!

You go to all the trouble of designing a system then give it to a techie nerd geek to design the website.

The geek then goes into their own little world called ‘Nerds World’ which is as far removed from reality as you can get.

At that point the nerd thinks ‘I’ll use a very light grey font that old people can’t read, that will annoy them, lol!’

And it works - old people do find it hard to read the stupid irresponsible font!

The idea is to reduce the amount of old people using the service which then makes the service look more efficient!

It never ceases to amaze me why the user experience is left at the hands of nerdy geeks who have zero awareness of the real world!
