Decent pricing but we just simply weren't using it. After years of spending thousands of dollars on insurance, canceling was a massive headache. There's no option on the website to cancel your policy, nor to message/email them requesting thus, so you're stuck calling them - And then, you're restricting to their office hours.
We might eventually enroll in insurance again when our dog gets older, but we won't be using ASPCA simply due to the headache it is to cancel a policy.

I’ve submitted 4 separate claims so far for one total issue, as there have been many vet visits. Submitting has been easy, and they have accepted explanations referencing the previous info without a problem. EOBs have been clear and reviews and reimbursements for the first three have been timely.

Each claim i have submitted for my little dog has been paid in a short amount of time and paid fully for her benefits due. Very happy with this company. This is my first opportunity to have pet insurance and I am so grateful to have a company that does everything it promised.

The customer support, easy online portal and claims management process have all been easy and great. Never had any issue getting things paid for. ASPCA was also wonderful when one of my pets died from cancer.
I do feel like I have other friends who pay less for more coverage, so from a price standpoint, I'm not sure competitive ASPCA is. HOWEVER, I continue to insure through ASPCA regardless because I've such an easy and great experience. I have not worked with other companies, so maybe it's a pay for what you get scenario where the rates I pay ensure I have a better experience.

Very impressed! My dog had an eye injury and I’m so thankful I had ASPCA Pet insurance. My experience has gone like this: I took my Shih Tzu Rosie to an animal Opthamologist on April 7th and submitted the claim very easily online on April 8th. That claim was completed on April 10th. $0 reimbursed and $403 (total bill amount) went towards the $500 deductible. It went just like it was supposed to. On April 9th Rosie had her eye surgery. I submitted the itemized bill, $1953, online on April 10th. On April 14th claim was completed. $97 towards deductible to complete the $500 deductible, and reimbursed 80%, which was $1400 and change. Money was direct deposited into bank 6 days after surgery. Her 2 follow up visits have been just as easy. $162 dollars and reimbursed $129 within 4-6 days. I highly recommend this pet insurance company. My one regret is changing her policy from $250 deductible and 90% coverage only one month before her injury, but thank goodness I didn’t cancel it. The reason I changed my policy was to be able to afford to add my 2 cats to the policy so now everyone is covered. I give ASPCA 10 stars!!

I signed my newly adopted Shih Tsu up for ASPCA insurance 7/7/2025. I submitted several claims for routine veterinary care and two incidences of ear infections. So far every claim is being questioned, despite my having sent required documentation and providing details in each claim. One claim is being questioned because it "didn't upload correctly," but they have a record of what I submitted, including the detail. I downloaded a copy of it from their website. It appears they're routinely holding everything for "more information from my vet." With the exception of the ear infections and a microchip, everything else has been for required vaccinations and heart worm, flea, and tick medication. I plan to drop this insurance as soon as I can find a decent replacement.
