Wonderful first experience with pet insurance. I hadn't bought it for my previous pets, but I finally did for my rescue bulldog because I knew he could have some costly expenses throughout his life. I did some research and ultimately chose ASPCA because of other peoples' good experiences and their fair rates (as I'm on a budget). They process claims quickly, pay fast, and I haven't had any bad experiences so far. I recommend!

my dog got this pet insurance becuase my daughter has it and never had a issue from acl surgery to accidents. my dog tore her acl sometime in november 2025 and we noticed no pressure on the leg. the claim was denied because may 2025 we took the dog in for as docotr noted sore muscle. Doctor wrote a letter for a appeal telling them this is not pre-existing. Still denied. i called and was told not matter what goes on with that leg it will always be denied.

I canceled my policy after only 2 months. I submitted claims that were denied due to "failure to receive medical records". The vet submitted all necessary records. After I called twice I kept getting the run around from "customer service" and immediately canceled my policy. This insurance is not worth the hassle.

I am extremely dissatisfied with this company. I faithfully paid monthly premiums for months, and when I needed coverage for my dog’s surgery, they denied my claim without justification. I wish I could put Zero Stars.

My claims were processed and refunded quickly and without issue. They’ve made it easy to file claims, and do follow up with vets on their end to keep things simple. I’ve had good experiences with them so far.

I am extremely disappointed with this pet insurance company. I paid monthly premiums expecting meaningful reimbursement for my cats’ veterinary care, but the amounts I received were nowhere near what I was led to expect. In my experience, the reimbursements did not even cover half of the bills, which made the policy feel like a poor value overall. For what I was paying each month, I expected much better support and far more reasonable coverage. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

My cat has been to the vet several times in the past year. Long story short, we are working on diagnosing gastrointestinal issues and it took several visits to even realize that's what it was. I had no issues with claims until his past visit. They denied it, claiming that I didn't have the right medical records, so I tried for the next month to provide everything, but they kept denying it, despite me giving everything I had. Customer service wasn't helpful, but I finally got an answer out of them as to what they needed. I submitted the extra documents, and they instantly denied my claim with no explanation as to why. What am I paying for? I have been trying to get my coverage for the past month and they won't even give me my explanation of benefits to tell me why they are declining me. Unless this is rectified, I'm cancelling by this weekend.
