In a world of paid for reviews of carbon bikes with headtube cable routing and hangerless drivetrains that can be stood on, mr. Aston is a welcome and refresshing break from the B.S. Hes not paid for so, you know the reviews are honest. Single pivot steel bikes! Tall bars with decent back sweep. Reliable wheels. Coil shocks. Youll find it all at astonmtb.com ...oh, and the comps are great! Won twice, and im still throwing my hat in the ring till i can bolt a dorado rrt to my geometron. Keep it up paul!

I like the honest opinion.
Paul is on the same path like when it comes to bikes. My personal view is, that that the industry is driven by marketing in an unacceptable minimal Innovation enviroment.
Example: if the same amount of money where spent on gearboxes we would have much better transmission than a technical outdated derailler which was develloped 100 years ago for road bikes

Great reviews, with deep technical analysis. With explanation how it works, why that way and who will like/hate that feature.

The single best place for honest, trustworthy MTB review content. Paul doesn't tip toe around a sub-par product. For example brakes, Paul calls out the code for poor power and heat management compared to its peers, which most serious riders know to be true anecdotally, but you wouldn't get that impression from other reviews of the code.

Keep up the great work!

Paul is an honest and trustworthy MTB reviewer. His “raffles” are a great way for him to stay independent, so I’m happy to support him.

Found out about Paul and his work scrolling on Instagram. Didn’t take a lot of time to realize I found a little diamond over there and didn’t hesitate to spend a few money to support him either.

Great analytical reviews for various stuff around the MTB industry that really do help us riders, be more informed over things and products that matter.

Very good communication with him as well after I won one of the competitions, and have to mentioned that although I am based in Greece, he didn’t matter changing the shipping destination to Spain where I would spend a few months so I could receive my gift even sooner.

Pure Professionalism I would say, nothing less!

I entered and won Paul's first competition, I had based my purchase of a Geometron, partly on his review and thought I would support his new venture to provide honest and unbiased reviews on the Mtb products we all use. Paul was great and sorted all the prizes out quickly. When he posted the next comp, I entered and bought a fair few tickets a bit of a thank you and luckily won that one too!.
So if you fancy supporting an independent review of Mtb products and having a chance to win some great kit, you should enter one of his many competitions.

Keep up the great stuff mate, been following your reviews and participating in the skilled giveaways for a year now and still haven’t won a single thing but that’s just my luck, will still try and bag myself a set of hope brakes or better yet a dorado!

Honest product reviews. I love the way Paul is explaining stuff: straight to the point, the good and the bad. I follow his writing since his days at Pinkbike and I always enjoyed his reviews of downhill bikes and products. His contests are the best of the best. You get to support his work and win incredible bike parts or even complete bikes. Keep up the excellent work Paul!

Paul is one of if not the only truly independent reviewer. I have read his work since the days of him bing at *insert big brand mtb website here* and always enjoyed his work. This new venture I hope is the future in part for mtb and gear reviews. Yet to win any of the raffles despite entering each month but I'm more than happy to support him in his independent reviews instead.

Paul went to great lengths to hook me up with an incredible bike, and at various points could have just been ok at delivering, but instead customized the component spec and dialed in various parts of the package, not to mention shipping the bike efficiently and professionally. It’s hard to review a service in which you get a free product as amazing as this, but yeah objectively it was awesome from the point I won to the back and forth with Paul to receiving the bike with many extras and custom bits, polished deal, makes it that much sweeter. The passion for the intrinsic value of innovation and learning about bikes, fun on bikes, the joy of the machine, this all shines through when entering these skill based comps

Everything is great except I have to add all my info every time I buy a ticket. A remember data feature would be excellent! :)

Paul has fantastic insights on mtb products. Reputable and reliable.

Paul does a real good job exposing the crap in the MTB industry. The format he created is super honest and well thought, I haven’t won anything (and don’t expect to, never had luck 😂) but spending a few coins to help make the only honest reviews AND maybe win good stuff is a no brainer. 10/10 will continue supporting.

Paul is a fine MTB rider and created a very unique way for testing equipment and make other mtb riders happy. He's very professional and precise in doing his job.
