I went in looking for a gift and ending up buying 3 sets of gifts thanks to a lovely lady names ‘Louise’ at Sheffield branch.

She really helped me and put me at ease by helping wholeheartedly to choose the gifts and was very knowledgeable about the products.

Excellent customer service by her, she was polite, friendly and very understanding.

I've been shopping at Atkinsons department store, Sheffield for over 40 years. I've bought furniture, knitting wool, haberdashery, hosiery, clothes, electrical goods, shoes and more. I've also eaten in the cafes. Staff are professional, service is friendly, delivery fantastic and I cannot fault any of the goods I have bought in all that time. That says a lot these days. A champion of how to run a store.

Twice in the last few weeks I have been to pay / return at the pay desk in the ladies clothing department and both times there has been no acknowledgement or interaction from the staff to me. I felt like an inconvenience and I think it is quite rude. Not the same female member of staff on both occasions. So come on Atkinsons. You need to up your game with some staff refresher training on customer contact. Returning customers are the mainstay of high street businesses .
