Unconventional eCommerce Policy
This was the first and last time I buy from Atomic Empire. The general global eCommerce convention when an product is out of stock is that the product is unable to be sold. On the contrary here at Atomic Empire, if a product is not in stock, or not even released for general sale, they still stock it and sell it anyway; and then allow you to unknowingly wait until they have it in stock to eventually send your complete order once they have that item, be it a weeks wait or a even years wait one would guess! Their customer service stated that this policy is written on their website but, this is not how the internet usually works and customers like me will end up feeling resentment for this policy that drips with greed and entrapment. I for one will never use them again. For the director of Atomic Empire, when a product is out of stock, do not sell it, take it down! Two stars is because Steve had the decency to reply and provide a solution. I ended up cancelling an item to release the rest of my shipment. This was very obstructive and caused an almost two week delay.
“Order #0000001 is a pre-order, meaning at least one of the items ordered hasn't been released yet so the order will ship whenever that item becomes ready. In this case, the outstanding item is the Pro Acryl: Bold Titanium White (22ml) and it doesn't yet have an expected street date. By default we wait until an order is entirely ready before shipping, but if you would like to make any changes to your order due to the continued wait, just let me know! We can remove or substitute the waiting item for something more available, or we can split your order between the ready and outstanding items. Please note that making changes to your order may change your available shipping methods and costs.” - Steve
