My experience with AT&T was the worst…

My experience with AT&T was the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I was trying to get my elderly mom's phone hooked up. The phone just completely stopped working one day. I called AT&T, they said they had discontinued landlines because people were stealing the copper wire from the telephone poles. So,if my mom has an accident or needs something she has zero access to the outside world
to call in an emergence. I had to set up four appointments with AT and T to get a technician to come out and hook up the phone, they did not come three of the 4 times. The time they did make it to the house they could not get the phone hooked up after working on it for two hours. They said they would come back in a few days to check on it to see if the phone started working . They never came back. Every time I made an appointment they ordered all sorts of equipment and had it sent to her house. There were five boxes sent to my mom's house, now laying around, they never showed up to install them. I can't believe they would not contact me or my mom to cancel the appointment. My mom is elderly and waiting around for these people to come to help her. Ridiculous. I spent literally 12 hours total over the past month on the phone with AT&T. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I'm just gonna leave her with a cheap Burner Phone from Walmart cause I'm so done dealing with this company. People that go to hell will be on the phone for hours with AT&T. I'm crying in my pillow.

Shady

It took 55 minutes on the phone with customer service only to be told that the refund I was requesting just hours before placing an order for a new phone could not be completed despite the phone not being shipped yet. Instead, I will have to wait for the phone to arrive, drive back to the store(with toddler in tow), and have a conversation with the same shady salesperson and pay a restocking fee despite having tried to cancel immediately.

Rotten service. Narrowly missed Jail !

After being a 50+ year subscriber to ATT services I had one of the most misearable days of my life with them during which I had to meet with Dallas police and narrowly missed going to jail.

For anyone familiar with the business management book the company has reached the M+1 level which means they do no meaningful productive work…and they are inept at providing the services they sell.

Working with Scammers to Impersonate AT&T

This is an affiliate site with AT&T. They will set up your account, then redirect to a page asking you to call a number. That number is a scam, impersonates the actual company, and asks you to sign up for a different service provider while offering an "$850 free home security credit" while attempting to get your payment information. It looks like the site signs customers up, but redirects to scam sites in a last ditch attempt to scam money. Use the actual AT&T website instead!
