STAY FAR AWAY FROM GROWATT

Purchased a new Growatt SFP5000es inverter from ebay store Powercore Solutions in March 2025. Installed in June of the same year and it failed in January 2026. After confirming with the installer that the unit was faulty, it was replaced at my cost, subject to getting it repaired/replaced under the much-touted 2 year warranty. Well, what do you know ... Powercore Solutions ignored all communication, and Growatt claims it is 'out of warranty' even though I supplied the original order and invoice details. As of 9 July, Growatt refuses to have anything to do with it, simply referring me back to Powercore Solutions who they know is ignoring me. I now understand why the original installer - and the subsequent ones I contacted - absolutely do not recommend Growatt products citing reliability and warranty claim issues, and my experience bears this out. Maybe this is a case for the ACCC to look into, but either way I will never touch anything with the Growatt name on it ever again. And I suggest if you are reading this, that you don't either. Buyer beware.
