Great people, recommend. Moved my 3 bedroom house on short notice, really reasonably priced and were super gentle with all our stuff.

Showed up on time. Fair price.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! If 0 stars were possible that’s what I’d give. I wish I had checked the reviews prior to booking Auckland Budget Movers.

They arrived late due to accepting a last minute job prior to our pre-booked one. Took an almost comical amount of time moving boxes out, yet were not by any degree careful. They broke multiple items, badly damaged paint on walls in our new address. Damage was not due to accident but force and carelessness bordering on disrespect of us and our belongings. When we made a complaint to them they said we should have stopped the move instead of completing it, as if that was an option - most of the damage occurred while moving in. Tried to compromise with their sales team to at least cover a couple of things but they refused. We now have to spend more time and money getting things repaired than the actual cost of the move.

The admin is very hard to communicate, lack of listening capability and difficult to deal with. The admin does not have fundamental social skill, far worst for professional skills. If they want to survive in service sector, she is the first one to go to anger management courses or step out of the role. I won't recommend anyone to use your services, at the end of the day, no body should be treated without respect.

I was desperate and had 1 day to move, everyone else was booked. So I elected to go with these guys. Big mistake.

They arrived an hour and a half late, saying the previous job ran overtime.

I paid for 2 guys and a truck so $50 deposit plus $276. 2 extras (mates of theirs) turned up by car. I had my Mum, brother and brother in law helping on-site and to load as they were lazy. I'd labelled everything according to care requirements and room, and packed it in the garage for easy packing, which they totally ignored.

Unprofessional work ethic- illogical packing approach, texting while working, cavalier with labelled fragile items, casual, inattentive of large items as I have scuffs and scratches in places in the lounge and rooms.

Time taken to load was 30 mins, my new place is 5 mins down the road. When asked to do a second run with 45mins left, they and the call centre I rang through to, declined to fulfill the contract.

Logistically they just emptied everything out of the truck at my new place and dumped it upstairs, cluttering up the lounge with crap, only problem was the big stuff was packed in the truck first. Couches, fridge, table etc so I had to clear and move as they came up and dumped to make space. No order to it.

After they were done they then parked their truck and other vehicle directly across the road and went to have beersies with their mates in the very next unit...? Literally right next door where they told them exactly what they'd unloaded, yes, the unit is that close I could hear their discussions.

Have been trying to get hold of the company for 2 weeks now to lodge a complaint. Their call centre won't take my calls, they've blocked me. Their complaints email address is bogus as in defunct. As far as they're concerned there are no issues. Lone response from finance early on says the job was completed without issue.

So my advice is - DONT EVER USE THEM. They are scammers, cheats, rip off merchants and false advertisers.

Their website does the selling as it looks good, reputable and professional, but everything is a lie.

Not amazing service, quite lazy, but cheap, so you get what you pay for.

They were rude, lazy and tried to rip us off!
They try and charge you excess to the time you need on the day, and refuse to unload your goods to the correct place
One member intentionally damaged our furniture after being told not to be so rough with our furniture.
The way they treat you as customers is rude and outrageous- especially “Anna”’ who is apparently their boss.
If I could give them no stars I would.

Unprofessional. Rude!

This company is the biggest cheats there are in Auckland.
They strung me along (single girl) on moving day for over 7 hours (from 9 am to 4pm after I had a confirmed booking) where they kept saying they are coming to do the move.
They send employees (who are contractors that they outsource the job to) who tried to arm-twist me into paying more for a trailer and some other charges (it is a nexus with their mates where they try to make extra money off you in the last minute because they know you need they job done). They send inexperienced and lazy staff who do not want to do the move. After 7 hours, they did not do my move and simply just sent me a message saying it's cancelled. They are the WORST most unreliable folks ever. If you want to waste your time, choose these guys

Cancelled our booking less than 24 hours before we due to move house. Customer service told us that the truck was in Tauranga and “that wasn’t their problem”. Such an unprofessional and arrogant attitude toward their clients. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
