Bought this amp as an upgrade to my Rega Brio MK6. Initially demo’d a Rega Elicit and Cyrus I9 XR and couldn’t make my mind up between them. My musical taste is very varied and some tracks sounded better on the Rega and vice versa. Also IMO, there was not enough of an improvement over the Brio to justify a change. I then asked to listen to the Rega Elicit MK5 and the difference compared to both the other 2 was massive, which you would expect for the increased cost. I will say I am a long term fan of Rega products and if you like your music to sound exciting but still like to hear great detail then this amp should be on your list to demo. If you like a more refined listening experience then this amp may not be to your taste.

Great "analogue" sound with Acoustic Energy AE509. Buy British and get the best.

Faulty Unit. Waiting for replacement. Shop model sounds fantastic, hope new one arrives soon. Please - Rega test your products before delivery! What was wrong? Loud hum from the unit (not through speakers) and loud thump on turn-on. No click from relay on turning the unit on, unlike the shop unit, borrowed from audio T, that was silent in operation and had the relay click instead of the speaker thump. REGA - WHAT ARE YOU DOING!
