This is my first foray into streaming. What can I say about this device that hasn't already been said in numerous reviews, not much. For me (I'm using music largely from my own library via Roon and very little from streaming services), the screen and remote are not really necessary. I did also compare the Wiim Pro Plus but, to me the Ultra sounded a little better when compared side by side, so I went with that. This is an excellent device, with an incredible amount of flexibility. Like many before them, they've copied Apple's homework, as far as design, but leant into it rather than try to hide it. As a result it's very sleek, well built and easy to use. There really isn't anything not to like. There aren't many improvements I could suggest. The lack of AirPlay support is a shame (it was on their older devices), but not a dealbreaker given the other connectivity. There is an upgraded remote available which is aluminium and rechargeable. Including this over the plastic one that uses AAA batteries would be great, but again not an issue. Bottom-line. This is a fantastic device. When you couple that with the price, it really is incredible that y they can provide this quality and functionality for this price. I would wholeheartedly suggest if you're considering one, seek out your local retailer (Audio-T, Reading, for me) who will be able to support and advise you, probably for a more competitive price than you think.
