As a nightlight the white option is really very bright, so we generally use the pink colour, but it's good to have the option of changing colour. We've had this in use for about 8 months now and it's very good, highly responsive to light change, and of course always useful to be able to still use the socket. It has quite a large diameter and needs to be placed somewhere where you can't see it directly or it would be intrusively bright: we've had nightlights that we could have in a room with us but this would give out too much light. I have now bough 5 of these and will be buying more. Brilliant to have upstairs and downstairs. Especially if you have young children or animals. Saves us from turning main lights on during the night (if your just going to the loo). Light is not to bright but not dull.
