Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, noting that items often did not match the descriptions or images advertised, particularly regarding material quality and design. Customers frequently reported issues with the quality of items, finding them to be cheaply made and not durable. The refund process was also a major point of frustration, with many struggling to obtain their money back or facing significant obstacles like costly international returns. Reviewers also expressed dissatisfaction with the return policy, which often required customers to send items back to China at their own expense, making returns impractical. Additionally, the pricing was a concern, as many felt the cost was disproportionate to the low quality of the products received. However, some customers did report positive experiences with receiving a refund, with a few mentioning that the process was quicker than expected or that they received a partial or full refund through other means. A small number of people also found certain items, like a dress, to be nice with good sizing and color, or shoes to be comfortable despite other issues.

I feel like another victim

I feel like another victim! This company, who advertises under various names, should be shut down.
Luckily I only spent $50 on a pair of orthopaedic sandals. They took 3 weeks to arrive and were absolute rubbish and far too small.
After emailing for a refund I was offered a larger pair if I sent $15 to cover postage. After refusing this offer and insisting on a refund the emails stopped.
I contacted PayPal to open a dispute. ‘Zoe Bartlett’ then emailed to offer 50% refund which I accepted because the return post to China would easily take the other 50%. My refund is yet to be received by PayPal.
Lesson learnt…….read reviews before purchasing from any unknown company, especially those that advertise on FB.

Pity we can’t give zero stars

Pity we can’t give zero stars. I will never fall for Facebook advertising again. Shoes were flimsy, shoddily made and way smaller than the size stated. They advertise as Aussie Wear but are based in China. When you decide on principal that you want to return the shipping address is in Amsterdam. Cost me $35 to return them. Completely fraudulent company.

Don't buy from them. Rubbish quality based in 'Asia'

Like others, I was duped into believing they were based in Sydney. They aren't. When you receive your items, you discover that the pictures you based your purchase on, do not show the actual rubbish quality of what you actually receive. Then when you tell them you want to return the item, they advise you will have to cover the cost of return to a warehouse in 'Asia'. The cost of return postage is not worth it, and there are no assurances that it will ever get there being international. Don't buy anything from them. You will be disappointed. Don't believe the reviews they show on their website.

Please do not deal with this company

Please do not deal with this company. There is definitely something very dodgy about their business model. I am surprised they are getting away with it. I purchased some items, believing it was an Australian company, as the name would have you believe, and then found my $9.80 International Transaction Fee on my bank account. Nothing arrived for 10 days, except for an email asking me if I'd like to purchase anything as they had noticed I had been looking on their web site. I replied, asking where my purchases were, and the reply from Zoe was that they had been uncertain about my mailing address. (Why had I not been contacted about that? It was correct). After reading the dreadful reviews, and having received nothing, I contacted Zoe and cancelled my order. Surprisingly, my money was refunded promptly through PayPal. Now for the last two weeks, my cancelled order has been arriving, one item at a time. The shoes are too small, the blouse is totally synthetic, not cotton. Perhaps the ITF I paid is a better indication of the true value of these items, which will be donated to charity. Never again!

False advertising, China fake products

False advertising. The items sent were not as advertised..cheap China fakes. Different material, style and design. The wouldn't refund my money without me paying return postage. The items would have never arrived as the address was 'right door near lift etc'. Their strategy is to simply offer 50% refund to shut me up so they keep 50% (still a profit for them). This wasn't a change of mind return. They should be ashamed and ACCC should close them down. DO NOT BUY

The site states 100% guarantee

The site states 100% guarantee, full money refund if not happy with the product. It also states slightly smaller than normal sizing. This is also incorrect. The shoes are vastly smaller than regular shoes from real companies. If I want my money back, I will have to send the shoes back at my own cost of $15 and I will only receive a 20% amount of what I actually paid for the shoes. The company is not based in Sydney as stated on their advertised page they are from China Do not buy from this company.
i’m sure the reviews I have read are absolutely and utterly false. The person I have been dealing with, called herself, Zoe Bartlett.

This company is a con

This company is a con. Pls don't buy from them you will be disappointed. They trade under a number of different names Monti Melbourne being one. They are totally based in China. The glossy photos say one thing but the products are rubbish! I ordered a dress from Monti Melbourne- the exact same dress, same photo, same details etc was on the Aussie Wear website. The dress was meant to be 50% linen, 30% cotton and 20% rayon. The dress I got was 100% polyester. They would not refund unless I sent the product back for $40. Who knows if they would have returned the money. This was their issue not mine. They did not give me what I ordered.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!

Products are cheap and really poor quality. They are NOT an Australian store they are in China. Refunding/exchanging items is extremely expensive for the purchaser. If I could give this scammer a 0 star review I would. I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased and will now make it my mission every time I see one of their ADs to comment so that others don’t get scammed like I did.

Don’t buy from Aussie-wear.com

First of all, this is not an Australian company. If you buy a product such as a shoe and it’s too small you have to return it to China at your own cost. The company makes this sound an extremely difficult and expensive process and suggests extra custom fees may apply using quite intimidating language. They will send another size shoe without asking for a return (with no guarantee it will fit either) but although they say there is a 30 day money back guarantee, there isn’t. Secondly, their sizing is rubbish. My size 41 shoe is at least 3 sizes bigger than their size 41. I made a real effort to get the ‘promised’ refund and received different messages -‘we don’t give refunds’, ‘you must return to China ‘ in spite of the packaging on my shoe saying it was from Chullora in Sydney! and a refusal to understand to shoe size discrepancies in spite of me sending a comparative photo of their size 41 and my size. My recommendation is not to buy from them and to complain to Fair Trading or ACCC.

A BIG FAT 0 rating

A BIG FAT 0 rating! They are not in Australia as they lead you to believe, although they do give an excuse to make you the one at fault for believing they are. Something should be done to stop this scam business! Quality of goods is so poor and they make it very difficult to return... after reading reviews on here, I'm not even sure if trying to return for a refund will even be worth it, especially with the ridiculous return address they give you. They should refund you without requiring a return as the goods only belong in a bin!!

So called orthopaedic shoes are substandard

I bought the orthopedic shoes. While they look as advertised they are not orthopaedic. The soles are thin and hard with flimsy fabric type inserts. I can barely squeeze my orthotics in them but the heels are wide and do not grip. They are not an Australian company, my shoes were sent from Hong Kong. The only redeeming thing was that the shoes arrived quickly.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could, this company shows videos of their products which when you receive them are nothing like them, they are cheaply made Chinese crap. When you try to get a refund they ask for their crap back at the buyers cost (shipping + customs charges) which you can be assured is nearly as much or if not more than the original purchase price, even if you dispute it through in PayPal, you can't really win, my advice is avoid this company at all costs, pay the extra and buy something made in Australia.

Product did not meet the description

I bought a pair of shoes that claim to be for bunions and are also orthopaedic. The description of the product is completely misleading. They are nothing short of being very expensive thongs or flip flops. I was so disappointed as I was really hoping they were a legitimate item. They were very expensive. Will never trust this company again to buy anything else. What a real shame.
