Clear, exhaustive and useful
This was my first time in the Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC meeting, althogh I ve worked a lot with this kind of problems in kids and teen agers. It s been very clear and they tried to answer all of the questions in chat, which , I think, is great!
ADHD-Understanding Executive Functioning
An interesting webinar that clearly demonstrated the challenges around ADHD and it's impact on Executive Functioning and outlining some positive activities that could help address these. Would have been great to be able to unmute and talk with the presenters after the presentation in the Q&A section.

Helped me understand my own version of ADHD
Helped me understand my own version of ADHD and therefore how to manage it without it impacting on my physical and mental health soo much. The sensory sessions have been particularly revelatory especially in helping me understand how my ADHD differs from my son and grandson's and how actually it is similar in ways I hadn't realised. It was lovely to finally understand what drives them to behave in the particular ways that they do and get techniques I can apply to myself more. I've been told at the hospital pain clinic that Fibromyalgia and ADHD are linked but never understood the mechanics of that before. I now know that my body jerks are because I have been stationary too long - I never understood that I have been controlling an underlying desire to be physically active at major detriment to my physical and mental health.

A personable approach
I like how both Kelly and Sarah give examples from their own experiences about ADHD and Autism. They come across as warm and friendly. The seminars they give are really different to other platforms and I do believe this is because of their personable approach to the audience. I really value their seminars.

Sessions run by the Autism and ADHD Advocates CIC
I recently attended two sessions run by The Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC. The sessions covered ADHD and sensory processing difficulties in autism. The sessions were about half an hour followed by time for questions. This meant that they covered enough for people to understand while not being overloaded. Sarah-Jane used language that was easily understood by parents/carers. Both Kelly and Sarah-Jane were very approachable and happy to answer questions too.
