I never thought I would have to write…
I never thought I would have to write something like this… but I feel I must share my experience to make others aware.
I purchased my vehicle with trust, believing in the reliability and reputation behind it. Like any customer, I expected peace of mind, especially knowing there is warranty and after-sales support.
But unfortunately, that trust has been shaken.
At a very low mileage, my vehicle developed a catalytic converter failure — something that even technical experts confirmed is rare and not expected at this stage. This is not normal wear and tear… this is clearly a premature failure.
What disappointed me the most is not just the issue itself, but the response I received from Autocom Japan.
Instead of standing by the customer in an unusual situation like this, the response was simply that this part is “not covered under warranty.” That’s it.
No real accountability. No proper solution.
As a customer, I feel helpless. We invest our hard-earned money, trusting these companies and their promises. But when something goes wrong — especially something this unusual — we are left alone to carry the burden.
Yes, they mentioned “goodwill support”… but honestly, does that really justify a major component failing this early?
This is not just about me. This can happen to anyone.
I am sharing this not to attack, but to create awareness. Please don’t rely only on brand name or warranty promises when making such an important purchase. Real support is tested only when problems arise.
I truly hope this post reaches the right people and that a fair solution will be given — not just for me, but for future customers as well.
🙏 If you believe customers deserve better support and fairness, please share this.
