Extremely disappointing experience with AutoSafe AS.
I purchased a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for NOK 169,000. I was promised delivery within the same week or the following week. Several days later, only after contacting the dealer myself, I was told the rear spoiler needed repainting. I eventually waited over a month for delivery, with very poor communication throughout.
When the car arrived, the rear tailgate was badly dented and leaking water, making replacement necessary. There was also a dent in the roof, which remains unresolved. The listing photographs appeared to have been digitally altered in a way that concealed the damage.
The dealer denied knowing about the damage and blamed the transport company. However, I contacted the transport company myself and received photographs showing that the damage was already present when the vehicle was collected from the seller.
Communication has been unacceptable. My calls were repeatedly ignored, forcing me to call from different numbers to get an answer. The dealer repeatedly claimed that a replacement tailgate had been sent, only for me to discover a week later that it had not. More than two months later, the matter is still unresolved. During a call, the dealer even shouted at me and said he would call when something had been sorted out.
I also found it difficult to find a platform to leave a review. I could not find a Google Maps listing, Facebook page or Trustpilot profile, so I had to create the listing myself.
I also noticed that AutoSafe AS and GP Autosalg AS have been associated with the same address in Fredrikstad. GP Autosalg AS was compulsorily dissolved in 2025. I have not established a formal connection between the companies, but the shared address raises questions worth investigating.
Due to the repeated delays, contradictory explanations and lack of resolution, I am now seeking legal assistance.
I cannot recommend AutoSafe AS based on my experience. Keep everything in writing, document the vehicle's condition and never rely solely on verbal promises.
