Autotech is not a trustworthy in our experience.
After giving Autotech Recruit good notice to find an MOT Tester/Technician, to cover for one person whilst they were off sick, for a possible one to two weeks cover. Autotech Recruitment let us down. Our small busy, family run garage was promised for weeks that they would not let us down. They where friendly and positive when spoken on the phone. But did not have the courtesy to be honest when they could not find anyone. They did not even send an e-mail or phone call to let us know that they could not.

You first contacted us on 24th June 2024 to request cover for an MOT Tester/Technician in anticipation of upcoming sick leave at your business. At that time, the dates were not yet confirmed, and we began searching for a suitable contractor as soon as we received the information. We had a contractor in the area and were in the process of coordinating availability, but we could not guarantee placement, which we communicated to you from the start.
We made multiple efforts to keep you updated throughout, including calls to provide status updates. When our team was on holiday, a colleague followed up as part of the handover process to ensure continuity in communication.
Regarding your request to interview the technician before starting, we explained that this was not part of our standard process. We suggested booking an 8-hour shift if you wished to evaluate the technician’s work. Despite our efforts, we were unable to secure a contractor for the dates needed.
We understand that this situation has been frustrating, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our team always strives to provide the best service, but unfortunately, there are times when contractor availability is limited.
We appreciate your feedback and will use this experience to improve our communication processes further. If there is anything else we can do to resolve this matter, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
