Lowest price in station area
I think it's the cheapest near the station, with clean, comfortable cars. Avoid car-sharing services; I found McDonald's fries. Unfortunately, people don't have a shred of respect for others. That's why physical rental agencies are still so helpful. It's also nice to find young, motivated staff, another rarity. We were helped by a girl with glasses and short hair. I'll go back to the same company.

I had a very bad experience with Ecovia Bologna FS
The car was returned in perfect condition, with photo proof, but I was later blamed for damage I didn’t cause.
The inspection was done without me and my complaint was ignored.
Be careful — they seem to target customers without full insurance.
I do not recommend them.
I have filed a formal complaint with the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) for unfair commercial practices.

Nice staff

Unlawfully withhold money and then completely ignore you.
We rented a car between 30th of September and 2nd of October. We booked the car in advance, via Rentalcars, but it was our worst car rental choice ever.
First, their payment system didn't seem to work (every time for another reason). Yet we were asked to pay extra, to try with another credit card, as 'administration fee'.
The car was fine, but we made photo's and videos of everything, because we already read some other horrible stories about Autovia on the internet in the meantime. Indeed, a few days after turning it in, we received a bill at home for "a scratch on the rim," even though it was there beforehand! We immediately informed Autovia about this, and send a photo as proof. In total, we send 1 email and 4 reminder emails, spread over 1.5 months to several email addresses of Autovia. However, Autovia did not respond to one of them, and proceeded to withhold the amount from our deposit.
For all, Please do not book here. They seem cheap but end up being the most expensive car rental company you can have.
