Horrible delay in shipping…
I bought a mattress directly from the Avenco website on 11/6 and per their policy it should have been shipped within 3 business days. It has been 10 business days and they are still saying it will be another 1-2 business days.
The customer service is awful! I have called 7 separate times and no one ever answers. It just rings and rings until it prompts you to leave a voicemail because “no customer service representative is available,” even though I call only during their posted business hours. When they finally called back, they told me it was a separate department and that department would email me within 24 hours. Surprise, surprise- they didn’t email me. I have been sleeping on a couch for a week due to the delay.
When I emailed the support email, I got a generic reply that blamed the delay on system maintenance (for 9 days?!?!) and noted that they would get on it soon. This was terrible and did nothing to expedite shipping or offer compensation when they had provided no notice earlier for the delay. I would have not been upset if I would have know because I would have kept my other mattress. I expected their shipping policy to be accurate so I planned accordingly. Now I have a stiff neck, pain in my hip, and can barely bend over from sleeping on my couch.
So just beware and consider buying third party rather than direct if you still want one of the Avenco mattresses.
