Very dissatisfied with my order

Very dissatisfied with my order. I ordered a dress in May 2022, when order was placed the estimated time to receive the dress was end of June. That time passed and I emailed for an update. I was told mid- July. That time passed and I was told mid-august. That time passed and I was told early September. I still have no updates as to the status of my order and it is September. Save your money and your time. This company is horrible and hides behind its “mission” of sustainable clothing but you can’t have that mission if you can’t get the clothing in the first place. It’s a scam

Don't get scammed.

They'll take your money for a "made-to-order" garment that will never ship and they'll only push your expected shipping date further and further back. Very convenient that their website doesn't show any reviews.

Mark here from Averie Customer Care. Averie operates with an on demand production model so that we can avoid over-production and reduce waste, thus doing our bit to help try to conserve the Earth’s resources.
If you are looking for product reviews, you will find that many of the products on our website do have reviews, especially our more popular items. Just click on a product and scroll down to the bottom of the page to find them. Our newer collections, such as our dresses, don’t have as many responses just yet as these have only just been released but we expect that these will come flooding in very shortly! The new pieces in this collection have just started arriving into our warehouses this past week and are en route to the first buyers!
In terms of the delivery timelines, we did recently encounter some fulfillment delays due to a number of factors which we are working tirelessly on improving! We were so excited to see the overwhelming response to our new collections and our made-to-order approach, however, we did later then encounter a number of issues within our supply chain. The lovely folks on our Operations team are working hard to overcome these issues, which includes both internal and external factors; like fabric shortages worldwide, extended logistics and shipping times, and production timelines. We’re also working hard to continually improve our communication, and we’re in the process of launching our new up-to-date order overview, which will show you where your made-to-order items are in our production lines!
Unfortunately, I cannot find your order number and can only assume that you now have received your delivery. I just LOVE the brand

I just LOVE the brand! The designs are amazing and the quality of the pyjamas and the bathing suits is excellent! I even ordered my sister and mum cute animal print pjs and they just loves them also! The service team is super friendly and fast in their reply. I got my order fast and without any delay. I was a bit confused when I read the negative feedback below but I honestly cannot relate to any of the feedback that I saw and will definitely continue ordering!!!! Great job Averie!

SALE is just a tech mistake.

Some of the cutest prints. The fabrics are good enough wish they would make them luxury washable.

Unfortunately they offer sales that aren't on sale. And lead times they can't keep up with.

I ordered a pair of pj's that came right away but they weren't on sale as advertised. They claim on their website that they will make items SALE when you special order, that it saves the planet. But when you attempt to check out the item is either available immediately or BACK IN STOCK SOON. So no matter what the sale price is not available.

When you attempt to contact them. They claim they will get back to you and the bots keep coming.

The safest way to go with AVERIE is to buy from a big box store. I hope they get it together because they have some serious creative talent in the mix.

Not sure why they can't hire more customer service folks.

Here is a copy and paste of what they replied. Basically it says they made a mistake but will not honor the price they advertised, to send it back if I'm not happy ~

Thank you for your feedback, and getting in touch. You are absolutely correct that we do have two prices for our products; the full price when an item is immediately available to ship, and a discounted price when they are in the pre-order stage. This is when we offer a discount as an incentive & thank you to our customers for patiently waiting while we print, cut and sew the items just for them, which in turn helps avoid overproduction or over-using resources.
I have checked your order, and the pajamas you chose (Emilia is such a fun print!) were ready-to-ship and also delivered right away (ordered on Thurs 14 July and delivered Wednesday 20 July), so this is why the pajamas were showing on our website/charged at the full-price. This price only lasts while stock may last per size, before an item’s status can revert to pre-order/back in stock soon with a discounted price, so it could be within hours/days the pricing may change.
We appreciate you providing feedback, and please check your emails as our team has just followed up to send you another little note there.

Beautiful Clothes from a Learning Company

The five swimsuits I have ordered are hands down the best swimsuits I have ever worn in my life. The quality of fabric is excellent in its durability, its attributes of all the best qualities of shapewear, and its retention of color in pools. The color and pattern are refreshing and fantastic too! I agree with all the positive things written on this site.

I see many reviews about how Averie is a scam. They are not. They are the real deal. I am glad that they have recently become more publicly transparent about the delays and problems with the supply chain as well as refunding the customers who requested their money back. These are all real things that impact a growing business -- especially in the pandemic. I'm in retail. I know first hand these difficulties. I don't think they anticipated the enthusiastic response to their clothing and were unprepared for the deluge of orders. Unfortunately, they were not communicative about these realities at first. I see they have taken great steps to fixing this. They still need to be a little more realistic about the wait times. If there is a delay, they should be sending mass emails out about the delay. In addition to this, we are all accustomed to the gratification of fast fashion and not the ecological approach that Averie takes.

I am giving a 5 star review due to the quality of the products. I really don't know how rate the production because I have never had to manage the difficulties this company has had to face and I have never ordered from a company that takes this ethical stance in their production. I was like many people writing negative reviews on this site. I ordered 3 swimsuits at the end of March. It took Averie until the end of June and a gentle nudge on Instagram to deliver them. That waiting time was very anxiety producing. Like I said, the swimsuits were immaculate and I do believe worth the wait. During the meantime, I ordered Averie pajamas from Saks Fifth Avenue. Due to this coming from Saks, they arrived in an expected and reasonable period. If Averie was a scam, logically, they would not be represented by Saks. The pajamas were incredible as well. My work director has a set of the tiger print ones. At the end of July, I ordered swimsuits from their Ready to Ship option. Those suits came within 3-4 days. If you would like your swimsuits pronto, I suggest you order from that section of the website.

At the end of May, I decided to take another chance on Averie's Made to Order section. I ordered a crop top, its matching shorts, and a bumblebee dress. I have yet to receive that order. As you can see, I am writing this review in early September and the weather in which I'd be comfortably able to wear these items is almost over. I messaged them in mid-June and they responded that my clothes would be ready to ship in late July. However, I now know that they will arrive sometime. There is always next Summer.

Lovely pijamas and smooth delivery

I bought a pijama for my mom as a gift and I couldn’t be more happy. It arrived quite quickly and she really liked the fabric and the print, very high quality!
I’ll definitely buy a couple more of their pijamas as gifts this Christmas

Amazing swimsuit and fast delivery!

Superb design and quality

Extremely happy with my order. The swimwear I got is beautiful and the quality fantastic. After reading some comments I expected to receive my order few weeks later but it came actually quite fast. It became my favorite website and I will definitely order again !!

Avery is a scam and won't cancel my…

Avery is a scam and won't cancel my order/refund my money. DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE. THEY BLOCKED ME ON FACEBOOK INSTEAD OF JUST RESPONDING TO ME.

***They responded below with gaslighting behavior! I have seen them post to other people that they were out of the office/being contacted outside of business hours. Not true at all! Yes, I did get my refund, but it took spreading the word and frequent contact. I saw other folks online who are still waiting for their refund, and it's been weeks/months (I did not want that to be me). Please do not let anyone you care about purchase from them! I wish I could warn folks online about them, but my ability to comment is still blocked.

I would have left a zero had that been a choice!

I would have left a zero had that been an option. I ordered 2 pair of pajamas in April 2022. May, June, July came and went. NO PAJAMAS! I reached out to them MANY times to see what was going on. Finally I received a pair of pajamas and they were way to small. I asked for a refund and I ordered a size larger for the yet to receive pajamas. STILL NO PAJAMAS and no refund. I filed a claim with my bank. They said that since I did not keep my tracking number, there was nothing they could do. Averie has EXTREMELY POOR customer service. I hear that their pajamas are beautiful but I wouldn' know. I am out $190 and I am furious!

SO WORTH THE 4 month wait!!!

My order arrived today and it was SO WORTH THAT WAIT!!! I’ve given a 4 instead of a 5 - because the product is BEYOND what I was hoping for!!!

The service has been driven by myself and emailing monthly to check in with my order number for updates. I understand that this company is growing and things are tricky with being across everything. I’m not going to say that it was frustrating once the 2-3 months timeframe came and went without an update on where my order was at?

Perhaps a “we’ve finished making your order. The batch will ship in X weeks.” As a process would save the team time?

It’s been 4 months (ordered in early April) - but it’s arrived (today - august) before the warm weather in Australia!

Honestly the scrunchies and suit I ordered are DIVINE!!

You will NEVER get your items…

My order was placed in May for delivery mid June. It was then pushed to mid July. It’s now August and despite multiple attempts to get an update or cancel the order I continue to get an automated response saying they’ve received my email and will be in touch shortly…but it’s been days without a response. I’m reporting them to Instagram also. This is definitely a scam site—sustainability is an excuse to not produce items either at all or over long periods of time when items are no longer in season and cannot be worn.

This suit is so darn cute!

Great suit, great price, well worth the wait! I see the reviews that orders took a long time which "made to order" would imply longer times (thinking weeks instead of days) so I made the purchase knowing it would show up when it showed up. Supply and labor issues I'm sure are not helping but the communication along the way was good so I knew I had not been lost in the shuffle. I like the idea of made to order and reducing waste and the quality is top notch, will definitely order again regardless of the time it took to arrive.

terrible service and not worth the money

I placed an order for three swimsuits on March 25th several months ahead of a trip I was planning to take. The trip came and went but my suits never arrived. I finally got one of my suits (the one not "made to order") and it did fit and is good quality. However, the other two suits arrived just last week (4 months after my order date when they state 6-8 weeks). The suits were the same size as the first suit that arrived but fit terribly. One had a huge bust and tiny bottoms, while the other one piece fits ok in the middle but is basically a thong and the bust is so large it hangs off and my breasts don't stay covered. DO NOT ORDER any of their made to order suits and know that 8+ weeks seems to be their window for rack items as well. On top of that, they haven't responded to any of my emails and the return window is closed because they arrived MONTHS late. I never ever trash talk on reviews but I cannot let this company just steal people's money and not even provide basic service.

With regards to our returns policy, we have a 14 day window for returns from the date the items are delivered. This means that, even if the delivery is delayed, it will not affect your ability to return the suits.
We typically ship all items in an order so that we avoid packaging and shipping waste to help conserve resources. Of course we understand one may wish to receive any ready to ship pieces as soon as they're available, which is why we include a note in all our email order notifications to reach out to our team if you wish to split the shipping of your pieces and get items as soon as they're ready.
From what I can see, your order contained three preorder swimsuits, one of which was sent out to you as it was ready sooner than the other two.
I would like to sincerely apologise, on behalf of everyone here at Averie, about the delays in getting your swimsuits to you and that you were unhappy with the fit of two of the swimsuits you received. While I understand that you were ultimately unhappy with two of the swimsuits, we did deliver all three swimsuits that were ordered and also refunded you for the swimsuits you returned.
We are still a young company, but have definitely learned a lot over these past few months. We are increasing our capacity and efficiency in our supply chains so that these delays won’t happen again.

You will not get your items when…

You will not get your items when promised. Horrible customer service, their sustainability pitch is a scam to get money from customers that they will not follow up with or update. The comments on their social media posts will confirm that customers wait months longer than expected to receive their items, and don’t receive responses if they request a refund or cancellation of their order. I placed an order in mid-June with the predicted shipping time of “end of July”. When I still hadn’t received ANY update, I emailed their customer service and received 6 auto-responses before being told that my item would now ship at the end of August. I replied that I had purchased the dress for my birthday on August 23rd, and if it would not ship by then, I’d like to cancel my order and request a refund - and did not hear back from the company. I will be opening a dispute with PayPal to get my money back.

Their website states that sometimes items may take “two weeks” later to ship than promised - but the majority of their customers wait at *least* a month later, if not 4-5 months from what I’ve seen. Unfortunate that this company is exploiting the well-intentions of people that want to reduce overproduction/waste on our planet. I hope that they no longer receive business, and more honest reviews begin to circulate.

Mark here from Averie Customer Care. I am very sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your Averie shopping experience. There were some delays in fulfillment over the past few months due to a combination of factors, which were unfortunately compounded by our on demand production model. We are committed to continuing with this production model but we do recognise that in a number of cases it resulted in heavy delays and so have worked hard over the past few months to improve our communication, efficiency and production capacity.
We always follow up with customers who reach out for an update or to make changes to an order. While there was a brief period of time in which our response times were impacted, due to the high level of customer contacts, from what I can see in your case we responded within a day and your request was promptly dealt with. Sincerest apologies if this was not what you expected as we are still a small team. As we continue to grow, we can hopefully decrease the resolution time.
We are still a young company, but have definitely learned a lot over these past few months. I would like to sincerely apologise, on behalf of everyone here at Averie, that you were affected by these delays, and I would also like to thank you for supporting us in our mission to promote sustainability in fashion.

I wish I would have taken the time to read these reviews before I spent one hundred plus on a swimsuit that after 3 months is still not here. Honestly, do not waste your time with this company.

I am very sorry to hear about your delays with the order and understand your frustration in this matter. Unfortunately, we did face some fulfilment issues over the past few months due to a combination of factors.
We were so happy to have such an amazing response to our swimwear this year and our made-to-order approach, however, this did come with some issues within our supply chain and the demand from our incredible customers. Our amazing Operations and Supply teams are working everyday to help overcome these issues, which includes both internal and external issues; like worldwide fabric shortages, extended logistics and shipping times, and production timelines.
As you can imagine for a growing company, we are working really hard to continually improve our communication with our Customer Support Network both directly and through Social Media platforms.We’re currently in the process of launching our new up-to-date order overview, which will show you where your made-to-order item(s) are in our production lines! This will hopefully help our customers track their orders and inform them of any production delays that may occur in the future.
Unfortunately, we are not able to find your order number and can only assume that you now have your delivery.
