Possibly the company with the worst customer service

Possibly the company with the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.
I've been waiting for almost 2 years for Babboe to respond properly to the recall of my cargo bike. Usually they take at least 1 month to respond any of my emails to come back with the same reply or a little twist to their response without really addressing the issue or helping to resolve it.
There is never a supervisor or manager available who will respond personally to this mess of a service.
It's disgusting and no, I cannot recommend dealing with this company at all.

What went wrong?!? What went well? Nothing!

What went wrong? Requires a very large answer. What went well? Nothing!!! Babboe doesn't care for any customer. They don't record complain cases, they don't record calls... they have sent an employee to inspect the bike and they don't record... It's chaos. More than one year without a bike... my kids don't fit there anymore...

Total mess - worst company ever

If I could give negative stars, I would. Babboe has been a complete disaster since the recall process began. My bike has been left to rot while waiting for their approval, upgrade, or repair—over a year later, and still nothing has changed. Their handling of this situation has been beyond unacceptable. I sincerely hope they face the highest penalties and go bankrupt.

Horrible callback procedure and lack of service

We have been through the horrible callback, and after almost a year we finally received a new bike. Unfortunately this came without a canopy, which we had on the bike they picked up from us. We have been promised an accessory voucher for the long waiting time, but have still not seen it. Furthermore the new bike has been delivered with a broken light. We have been in contact through email this far, but have not received any reply on the last couple of emails. Was really happy with the bike we had but have been extremely disappointed by everything since the callback and sincerely regret choosing Babboe in the first place.

More than a year since the validation…

More than a year since the validation of the recall decision for my bike, and still not with the replacement bike. Apparently the order is "partially completed" and "stuck in the system. 20 calls later, hours on the phone and still no result. No one knows how to deal with that. There is no manager. No director. No useful personnel. Nobody takes decisions or actions. They just "report the problem". To whom? No one knows.

Babboe have essentially stolen my…

Babboe have essentially stolen my bike. My Babboe bike was my sole form of transport. When the product recall occurred I was told I would be able to select a similar value bike or cargo bike, after bike was taken away I was unable to easily select a bike, and initially accepted a 8 week wait for a similar cargo bike. That was back in early Nov and the bike has yet to arrive or any potential date for arrival. It does not look like I will receive a new bike. This is my only form of transport for myself and my children. Babboe have been so unhelpful. This feels like theft, with Babboe prioritizing removing bikes, over customers.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Very frustrating. Our bike was recalled in Feb 2024. Collected in November 2024. Babboe claimed to have no record of it being collected for two months. Now they are sending voucher codes to exchange the bike that do not work. I've emailed them about 30 times and sent a formal complaint to try to resolve. Next step is the European small claims court.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I have been waiting for months to get my faulty bike repaired or replaced, but nothing has happened yet. I keep receiving the same emails so it must be some AI answering. Soon my children will be too old for the cargo bike and it will still be waiting to be repaired. As my only mean of transport, it is outrageaoud that after paying over 3000 euros for it, I can't use because a manufacturing defect. I hope no one is buying babboe bikes anymore, it is a scandal how they are ignoring all clients with faulty bikes and not taking any action.

I am extremely UNSATISFIED with how…

I am extremely UNSATISFIED with how Babboe has handled my case and deeply DISAPPOINTED with your customer service! I have been unable to use my bakfiets for over 11 months, and I demand compensation.

Parts of my bakfiets were stolen in February 2024. Although I received the Schadebrief from Kingpolis, for 11 months, you have not inspected my bike frame or repaired my bakfiets, leaving me without the ability to use it for far too long.

Whenever I contacted you via messages or calls, I kept getting the same responses: Babboe needs to inspect the bike frame first, and I must wait for my turn. I was told I would receive an email from Babboe. When I asked for updates or to expedite the process, you simply said it was not possible, and I had to wait. When I suggested sending my bike to an affiliated dealer for inspection, as stated on your website, your customer service insisted that I couldn’t do that and still needed to wait. However, this turned out to be false! Recently, your afdliated dealer assisted me, and they agreed to inspect my bike frame and finally repair my bakfiets. Babboe’s customer service has been utterly useless and unhelpful, providing incorrect information, being dishonest, and showing no willingness to assist.

Last week, after countless emails, one of your colleagues finally looked into my case and claimed I should have received an email titled "Recall_Inspectie_Dealer_Go" on 24/7/24. However, I never received this email—not even in my spam folder. You also failed to send any reminders.

I chose to work with your affliated dealer because they are far more communicative, helpful, and proactive in expediting the inspection and repair of my bike frame.

I have outlined numerous ways in which Babboe, as a company, and your customer service team have failed to support your customer. For all these reasons, I strongly believe I deserve compensation.

1 star is already too much

1 star is already too much. I am so disappointed in Babboe, and can say it's the worst company EVER! I will never buy again from them, or recommand anyone to buy from them. Stay away from this dishonnest company! Their client service is completely useless, inexistant even. I have been waiting for 3 months to get contacted by phone or email after at least a dozen phone calls myself because my charging module - still under warranty - doesn't work anymore! My bakfiets is only 1,5 year old, and I can't use it already. I bought it 3000€! But Babboe thinks it's totally normal to let their clients down and deal with technical problems. This company should be shut down since it is so incompetent!

Worst bike ever

Worst bike ever. Have not heard anything from Babboe in 6 months or more and the danish departement just refers to the dutch company.
Have not used the bike for more than a year due to the recall. What a waste of money!

I am outraged

I am outraged , this will have repercussions. We have received and email of date and time frame of mechanic appointment. Guess what ? Nobody came .. Are these people for real ??? Do they know what’s customer service ?? I have to sit on my ass at home all afternoon and waste it really . I am calling them tomorrow and they will get a mouthful from me !!!

Bakfiets was part of recall but no new bike provided. It's been months of waiting, where the cargobike has already been collected, with no replacement, and then months and months of waiting. Apparently a certificate for a free accessory in the form of a bike lock/bag is supposed to make up for waiting for months without getting a bike.

Award for worst company of the year goes to Babboe

They picked up my bike 4 months ago and now claim that they cannot find it in the system, hence I am not getting my recall voucher. Before this the bike was only one year old and already needed three repairs. The last repair happened in the period that the recall was already being planned, where they actually broke the bike but refused to refund the repair appointment I paid for as the bike was to be replaced soon anyway. Interesting definition of soon, as this was in february and we are now at the end of October.

A company of thieves

A company of thieves.
I requested to return my bike within the 14-day return period last January. The bike was taken away only in August, while every month I was paying installments for it.
At the end of August the return of the bike is confirmed yet in October I keep paying installments for it as Babboe doesn’t bother about notifying SprayPay that there was a return. I’m already over 500 EUR just invested into your company and have no idea how long else it’s going to last before I get my money back and have those direct debits stopped. You are the most miserable merchant on the market and nobody should ever make any business with you.

We have been waiting 1,5 months for…

We have been waiting 1,5 months for them to pickup and return our bike, so we can get a new one. Westerman logistics that they are using for this assignment are not pickup up their phone, and Westerman are saying that they will pick up the bike asap. Ive told Babboe about the problem and they are doing nothing about it. Just leaving a note in the case!

Worst experience ever

After 6 months of not being able to use the bakfiets due to security issues, now Babboe does not appear to be responsible of anything and do not even compensate us for all the inconveniences. Do not ever buy anything from Babboe!

The recall action is a sham

The recall action is a sham. Babboe management should face criminal charges for what they put us bakfiets owners go through. A negative review scale should be invented for Babboe, because they belong to a different league, one star is waaay to much for this company.
