No delivery commitment and no refund prospects regardless

Ordered a Silver Cross pram set at the Excel baby show - no mention of delivery issues or delays. All very reassuring - "put your due date on the form and we will stagger the deliveries to reflect".

Zero sign. No contact after the initial confirmation. Plus it turns out the actual T&Cs governing delivery are:
- there is only seven days to cancel and receive a refund.
- absolutely no commitments in the T&Cs on delivering within any set time frame (customer service's only response was "well somebody will have explained to you that it is 3-6 weeks at least" - absolutely not the case, and no sign they will meet even that timeframe);
- only a credit note after the expiry of the initial 7 days; AND
- even the right to a credit note apparently expires after 28 days.

In the meantime all I can get in response is "we will let you know". How on earth I'm bringing baby home from the hospital, I have no idea...

It seems my only choice is to take a credit note (although my right to even that expires in 24 hours, and will not be extended),buy the pram again from elsewhere (waiting for their delivery of course....), and then be stuck ordering nearly £1000 of other products from these guys based on the same T&Cs...

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. They never ship out the orders. Say they will. Email saying there’s a delay. Do not specify when I’ll receive it. No apology or goodwill gesture. Save your pennies and buy from a reputable company.

Order never sent, unresponsive customer services

Ordered some replacement mattresses for a Moses basket and next2me crib, waited for the max 10 working days for delivery before I reached out to customer services as the order was still showing as “processing”. Customer services said the items would be delivered in the next few days but this was not the case and my order is still marked as processing. It is getting close to us needing these items, so I have asked for the order to be cancelled and for a refund and have since heard nothing.
This sounds similar to lots of other people’s experiences unfortunately.

Poor service

1. Tried to order enough to be eligible for free delivery, but no combination of item I wanted to bring the total over £50 worked!
2. Ended up paying £6 delivery for the main in stock item I needed
3. 4 working days later, still not dispatched. No response to email

Took 20 minutes on hold to cancel! What a waste of time! Never again.

Cowboys- read unusual terms and conditions

Attended a baby show and purchased an Owlet. Was told that Baby planet would not be reducing this item in Black Friday sales.

Received the Owlet 2 days ago, and saw it was heavily discounted to the price we paid online.

We’ve been told we are not entitled to a refund as terms and conditions vary for a baby show purchase and you can only get a credit note, even though this is within 30 days of purchase and 2 days of receiving goods and we were lied to at the show about it not being discounted in Black Friday sales.

This company is fraudulent in the way they operate at baby shows, beware of making a purchases.

Don’t deliver when they say they will

Bought a baby bouncer said 7-10 working days delivery. No sign of it 14 days later, no tracking number. Had to chase them multiple times. Said was out for delivery still no tracking number. Finally received a tracking number with the promise of next day delivery after emailing them daily. Not a good experience and would not recommend them as they do not deliver when they say they will

AVOID!!

AVOID!!! Purchased a pushchair in May for my son and his partner and paid over £1800 to Baby Planet. This has still not been delivered and my grandchild is 2 months old now!!
They were given a lower quality loan pushchair. When they approached the company for discount they were told no and that they had done more than they needed to by supplying them with a loan pushchair. What were they supposed to do, carry a car seat around. The carrycot and pushchair is not fit for purpose without a chassis for gods sake!!They have missed out on 2 months of use of theirs which I have paid for and I’m bloody fuming. The stress this has caused to me and especially the mum during pregnancy is totally unacceptable.

The chassis was supposed to be delivered today and guess what … it has not arrived! Trading Standards will be informed. If you see these cowboys at any baby shows AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Delivery delays & uncontactable

Ordered a car seat and base 2 weeks ago, notified that order would be delayed in delivery to last week, last week came and went, no sign of the order. Online sales part of the company is uncontactable, hasn't responded to emails sent over the last 6 days, doesn't answer the phone in working hours so I'm leaving this review in the hope that someone will respond. If you want to guarantee you can actually bring your baby home from the hospital I would be cautious about ordering from this company.

I visited the Ashby de la Zouch branch…

I visited the Ashby de la Zouch branch and was very impressed with the selection of car seats that I had gone in for. The young lady ( sorry I didn’t know name) was fabulous and so helpful and knowledgeable. The car seat was bought over the next day and wow what a car seat!

Fantastic service and staff

Today i went to your Derby Branch with my Daughter to explore prams for my Grandson due in August… i was greeted by your staff lucy and Stacey who i have to say were absolutely amazing!!! Nothing was too much trouble, demos were given on a few we selected and the knowledge of the products was second to none… a great experience !!!
We were made to feel very welcome and felt valued … everything was fully explained from start to finish and the fact you offer free storage and delivery is a fantastic service!!
Well done Baby Planet we will certainly be recommending you!!!

Customer service appalling

So still holding on for over 40 mins to Customer service and I'm no.1 in the queue. So be aware if you buy something from this company the after sales service is not what it should be. I bought a Meego pram set totally over £800 at a show in Surrey last year. Make sure you check that all parts are in the packing, as in my case, bits were missing hence me trying to follow up the collection of the pushchair to be fixed. Also the fastenings for the hood are inferior. Having emailed and given the address for collection of my son's home, they came to my address which was on the order. However they were emailed the collection address but did nothing about it. The collection company has texted me to advise of the time of collection but all I want to do is double check they have the right address.
Still waiting it's coming up to nearly one hour. Not acceptable at all!!!!!!!!
Despite my call being very important to them and being no. 1 in the queue 50 mins later I'm still waiting as I write this review. This is shocking way to treat customers when you have an issue with one of the products they sell.
