I pledged for three projects. One by a legit creator, the other two by a fraudulent one. I reached out to backerkit serval times for support. They did nothing. Two years passed, no pledge items, while the pledge was officially gone. I contacted the creator and told her that I would expose her and file a fraud request again her in my home country. Immediately, backerkit banned me for posting a comment on the backerkit page but protected the person who took thousands of dollars from several pledgers, not only me. Tjere were tons if negative comments!!! I even made screenshots to gile legal actions.

Complete scam, they have creators on their platform that go dark as soon as they get the money, and then have awful communication, and just tell you to start all over again with contacting a different department

Cant contact anyone about issues with a project that is being mismanaged. They just refer to the project but its them i have an issue with. Terrible customer support

A platform done by scammers to scammers. They offers 0 protection, 0 pursuit of fraud, 0 posibilities for reclamation. Its only a platform to process payments very insecure. These creators do not use paypal instead because they offer legal protection and instead they chose platforms like backerkit that posibilities frauds and scamms with never delivered products or services.

I believe this a scam, it was in a link, in an unsolicited email from Fred at TOMY Plus fred at nowtrending.tech Suppoesd to be from Tomy, but I don't think it has anything to do with them.

Seriously the worst of all the post crowdfunded backer survey companies. Even the fact they base comments on mob mentality rules, meaning you have a comment critical of the campaign and others that are fanboys, that can never see any wrong until it smacks them on the side of their faces, can hide your truthful criticism of their beloved creator. Just that fact alone makes them horrible. Stop basing comments on a mob mentality and maybe I’ll be back, until then any campaign that decides to use them I will not back!

Poor platform that only kinda works with no way to contact support.

Only using it out of necessity.
I might not "kickstart" further projects I'm interested if they use this platform, just for the fact of them using it.

Hadto use them for some KS projects, now they keep emailing me, asking me to give them money. They do not honor the unsubscribe options, avid.

I signed up to consider whether to launch my ks project on here but didn't end up using it, they've now been emailing me ALL THE TIME for an entire year and there is no way to unsubscribe even if you log on and go through the settings. It's spammy as hell and ANNOYING.

Allows shady businesses on here to sell products. Zero refunds when inevitably a pledge is not fulfilled because of wild mismanagement. Will never purchase from them ever again.

Whatever you pledge you will continue to pay extra charges and it will be over a year before you actually see anything. I still haven't received my product and I and now down nearly £200 GBP. NEVER AGAIN!

Terrible user experience. Difficult to use modify, or merge any order. Unclear what a survey is and where orders are when they automatically move to survey, and there is no survey to take and it says survey complete. What do these words mean? How do I contact anyone to ask a question. If site wasnt trusted but other people I would assume it was scammy bc of how poorly designed it is.

I used this company once, many years ago and i never gave my consent to receiving emails about otjer projects. Since then I have regularly received spam emails for all sorts of projects I have never subscribed to. Unsubscribeing from one project doesn't stop emails for all tje itjer ramdom projects. Trying to get my data removed completely just takes me in a loop around their website. It's a total shambles, and backerkit should be shutdown Iver their complete disregard for data protection and spam emails.

My dispatch email from Backerkit shows both the wrong add-on items and the wrong address… Contacted them over a week ago and have had no response. No obvious way of requesting a refund either so I’ve lost the money and will not receive the items. I hope whoever is at the address it was sent to enjoys them!

EDIT: I have now had a response to my email and it is being dealt with. Would still have preferred it to have been sent to the right place in the first place but it looks like we will receive it eventually! Have updated by star rating accordingly

spambot. Just anoying

Provided a pledge of several hundred$ for books and two plush dolls July/August 23. I have had to complain multiple times on a community forum to get just the dolls which arrived after December 23. Book have not arrived yet and it is May. Many customers have moved and have been asking about their items. Many have bot received a single response to updates on change of shipping address(which is hard to navigate through website), or updates on shipping of items. Very disappointed, will not use this company again.

I did order book and cards. They did ship book after years and didn’t ship cards yet. Completely scammers and clowns

Terrible. I waited for this campaign for a month and finally, when the day came they were dead. Honestly, how can anyone trust a platform like this?

At one time Backerkit was good, and it was the only option for smaller creators who needed more than the built in kickstarter survey could offer. But the last five years they have increased their fees while not updating their backend to import newer features/data from kickstarter. They don't handle items or add-ons from kickstarter correctly and require you to spend days setting them up again (while free services such as pledge box just import everything to begin with). After breaking ties with them as a creator almost five years ago they have continues to send me spam, pushy emails, and I just found out they were still holding ALL my data AND my backers data in spite of my request that the delete everything when I stopped using them. As a creator you'll end up paying a lot for bad customer service and features that don't work right when there are free services that do.

Attention everyone, backerkit is an extremely irresponsible liar. Without prior notice, they shut down the ks we were going to release and operated in their lunch background. We sorted out the data for 8 months and took our consumer data as our own. Yes, this kind of practice is illegal and an invasion of privacy. Their service did not solve the problem for us from the beginning to the end. . Extremely irresponsible.
We will continue to use it. You stopped our service and didn’t communicate with us in advance. We communicated with you when there were about 2,000 people and looked for your cooperation. As far as 20,000, the ranking is also high, and the project will be launched in the near future, and you have directly suspended it. You are doing this illegally.
In terms of fees, our company has paid them two service fees and has not served anything at all until now, so we stop our services at will. They are irresponsible to customers.
We also consulted with our peers, and most of them have cooperated once and never cooperated again.

They just lie to consumers about data and later service fees.
We have every conversation with them and screenshots of the background, there are pictures and real images, and we will also expose their fraudulent consumer behavior through the media. I hope these comments can prevent more people from being deceived and reduce their own losses.
