Bad customer service. Having ordered a phone they sent a totally different device. This could have been easily rectified by simply sending the correct device and collecting the wrong one but instead Back Market wouldn't send the correct one until I had taken the wrong one to the post office to send it back then waited until they had checked it and only after all that (many days later) they would try to send the correct one again if it was in stock. There was no offer of compensation for the inconvenience, time and effort I have to make. Not a happy customer, I wouldn't recommend using them.

I purchased an iPad Mini 6 from Back Market in “Excellent” condition as a birthday gift for my partner, but unfortunately the device arrived completely unusable.

The iPad was still locked with McDonald’s management software, meaning it had clearly not been properly reset, tested, or refurbished before being sold. This directly contradicts the standards and assurances promoted on Back Market’s website, where devices are described as “100% functional”, professionally refurbished, and factory reset for a “brand-new user experience.”

While a refund is now being processed, the experience has been extremely disappointing and inconvenient. My partner was left without his birthday gift, and I’ve had to spend a significant amount of my own time chasing support, arranging returns, and trying to resolve the issue.

What has frustrated me most is the lack of response regarding my complaint and request for compensation, despite Back Market stating that service requests receive a response within 1 business day.

I chose Back Market because of the trust and quality guarantees advertised on the platform, so receiving a device that was effectively locked and unusable on arrival was unacceptable. Mistakes can happen, but the handling of the situation afterwards has been poor.

Based on my experience, I would be cautious about purchasing from Back Market again.

It was easy to buy iPhone once I decided. After sales advice was very good and prompt. Was delivered 2 days after ordered, I am very pleased with phone and condition was excellent. I will return when I next need to update.

I thought I was getting a really good deal but I guess it was a deal too good to be true. I bought an HP Zbook Firefly which had problems from the start and terrible customer service every time. The battery life was not the level as promised- I sent the laptop back 4 times to get the battery replace to ensure it reached the promised levels- each time I was told it was done and it never was! Very inconvenient when I needed it for work. Each time the customer service was a battle. Since then in the space of a year, 4 keys have fallen off and now, a few days outside of the warranty, the touch pad has stopped working!! I knew the product functionality and performance would be slightly reduced but this is terrible!

Good priced and so easy to deal with, will def use again when needed.

Good quality refurbished Mac book air, really happy with this. It is just as good as new! With a fraction of the price. Back market is the way forward, I will definitely use them again. Very happy

It was tight with dates when my device was due to arrive as I was going away on business, i didn't need to worry as it turned up the very next day.

camera came broken despite them saying that they check everything,
complained two days ago to them and have no response whatsoever
awful company never use them.
