I purchased a charger for my 48 volt ebike battery that was designed to charge the battery to 80%, 90% and 100% (because ebike batteries last longer if you charge them to less than 100%). The charger I received wouldn't turn off when set to 80%, going past the pre-determined voltage. When I contacted BafangUSADirect's customer service department I was told that since I didn't purchase my motor or battery from them they couldn't guarantee their charger would work with my battery. Please understand that their product and my bike both indicated the same voltage-and that voltage was 88% and climbing at the time I turned the charger off. Voltage is voltage-their charger, verified by the charger's own voltage meter AND the bike's meter, overcharged my battery. To deny this is to deny the laws of physics. Now I have to contest the purchase through my credit card! BEWARE Bafang USADirect!

Battery attachment tabs to mount broke
Battery attachment tabs to mount broke, so we have to keep the batteries attached with a lot of duct tape. This means that transporting the bikes is more difficult because the batteries must stay attached. Since these are now off warranty, Bafang will do nothing to try to remedy this. If you decide to buy from this company, expect no support. Better yet, find another kit.
