I am a loyal devotee of Bahoma

I am a loyal devotee of Bahoma. My home is filled with their beautifully fragranced scented candles, diffusers and toiletries. The scents fill the room and even when not burning exude a wonderful fragrance. They master beautifully blended fragrances and in my opinion cannot be beaten at this price point.
I have read the negative reviews of the exploding candles and can honestly say that this has never been an issue for me with Bahoma. It has happened to me before with other brands, Diptyque to name but one. I really feel that when the wax burns low, or has been burning for too long and the glass gets very hot, that this will be an issue whoever the manufacturer is. Burning time guidelines are given for a reason and I’ve only encountered difficulties when I haven’t heeded this advice. As long as you follow the rules you’ll be just fine!
Regarding the above point, I have found that the Bahoma candles in the black glass containers get less hot when in use than the clear glass. So maybe opt for these if you’re unsure. And finally, I always place my candles on a protective plate just to ensure that no fabric or table surface is damaged.
Also regarding the point about the excess soot; something I have also learnt is to always trim the wick, don’t place your candle next to a wall and avoid draughts when burning your candle. All of this equals a happy, soot free candle.
Overall a wonderful brand with super fast shipping and beautiful products.

Reply from Bahoma London

Dear Louise,
We can’t thank you enough for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and generous review. Your words reflect exactly what we strive to convey - that well-crafted fragrance and responsible candle care go hand in hand to create something truly special.

We are especially grateful that you have shared your own experience and practical advice with others. It means a great deal to see how you’ve observed and appreciated the details - from the difference between black and clear glass, to wick trimming and burn-time guidance. These aspects, though small, are what ensure that the craftsmanship we put into every Bahoma candle translates into a safe and rewarding experience for the people who use them.

After more than 17 years of creating fragranced products in our London workshop, nothing gives us greater satisfaction than knowing our work brings comfort, warmth and a sense of luxury into homes like yours. Thank you once again for your loyalty and for sharing your insight so generously - it helps others understand and enjoy our candles exactly as they were designed to be.

With sincere appreciation,
The Bahoma Team

AVOID EXPLODING BAHOMA CANDLES!

Bought from Brand Alley. Towards the end of the life of a three wick candle the glass pot which the candle was in exploded throwing glass into the bath tub where my girlfriend was bathing and also leaving a burn mark and wax stain on the window ledge. Furthermore the candle burnt terribly, the soot that came off it was ridiculous. I burnt one candle over the space of a few weeks and my white bathroom tiles were thick with a black film of soot, so much so it was rolling down the tiles with condensation when I had a shower. This is the first time it’s happened since I’ve been burning candles in my bathroom over the last couple of years.

Dangerous candles.

So I bought these delicious smelling candles through Brandalley. Great scenting so ordered more.
Thought I would gift them for Christmas..
Yesterday whilst I was in another room I heard and crash and it turned out that the bahoma candle which had burnt down had just smashed its own glass container sending shards of black glass everywhere.
This is a seriously dangerous candle .i have bought other brands in the past in glass containers and never had this occur.
Be warned - these are dangerous and a fire risk.

I will try to be as fair as possible in…

I will try to be as fair as possible in this review. I have no idea about this company even exists till national crises and COVID-19 outbreak in the UK. Our nation getting through difficult times and we all trying to protect ourselves and our loved ones as much as we could. Unfortunately some companies taking an advantage of our fears as in my situation Bahoma did too. I came across of had sanitizer made by Bahoma on Amazon at a sky high price £20 pounds plus £4 delivery even for prime members. I have ordered it even I thought price is not fair, but anyway. All this lock down situation put massive pressure on delivery service and coincidentally I was forced to leave my apartment. But it was more than enough time for me to receive this order (2 weeks) 30 of March I was moving and loosing all legal rights to be at my apartment, I have notified Bahoma on 26 (still no delivery) of March to cancel my order and refund me, as I was worried delivery will be missed. They could not cancel it, I was told to contact new owners( which moved immediately) to turn this delivery away, I did, week after on the 4th of April delivery status went as delivered and sign for. I contacted Bahoma as I was hoping it them who has this delivery, they told it’s not with them I have to go back to my old address and look for it and ask new owners ( and all this on national lock down and government advice to stay at home) I have to travel 4 miles to found nothing, no neighbors or new owners had it. I’ve reported it to Bahoma. They refused to refund me and accused me of dishonesty 😟 and on top of this they offer to me to go to my local post office ( again in a National lock down) and look who signed it. We as nation will get through of this crisis but we will remember who tried to profit on pandemic. Before all this Bahoma was running 50% site wise sales and £10 off vouchers obviously not anymore. And even more on amazon complains comments on their high price they claim to sell it at a cost and no making any profits. I remember buying before crisis 500ml Purell sanitizer at £4.99 at B&M after even 3d party company was making profits, I could not understand how £20 is not enough for Bahoma to make some money.

Rude customer service

Rude customer service. Advertise discounts that do not work. Call them to place the order over the phone and they say something incomprehensible and hang up. Twice. And then don't answer the phone after that. Bizarre.
