Nicola O'Dean at Balgores was fantastic. From the very beginning, she helped me to secure the repair job with my insurance company and subsequently provided regular updates throughout the process. She even expedited the repair to ensure I was able to have my car back before the Easter bank holiday weekend.

The repair itself was perfect; car looks good as new.

Very good service I’ll recommend you to others

Unfortunately my car got damaged by an Enterprise driver delivering a car in the car park of my local Ford main dealer while in for a service. Enterprise accepted full responsibility and arranged for my car to be repaired at Balgores Motors.
I was first contacted by Deborah who explained what the process was and roughly how long it would take. She is very polite, friendly, helpful and professional. When I took my car in, I was looked after by Leanna, who was also very polite, helpful, friendly and professional. Whilst walking round my car, Leanna noticed I had a GardX sticker in the windscreen and she made sure that this would be added to the job.
My car was in for approx., 2 weeks and I was kept informed of the progress.
The car has been fully repaired and I have had great customer service from both Deborah and Leanna and have no hesitation in recommending the services of Balgores Motors.

Great service and car repair looks like new. The team went above and beyond to get some decal sorted which involved a lot of additional work.
Kept me updated thru out the process.
Would highly recommend them.

If i could give zero stars i would.
If you ever get allocated this garage by your insurance company avoid them at all costs.
They have had my car seven weeks for a minor repair and now the work is finished they are further delaying the return of it by saying a VAT invoice needs to be raised. They have known the cost of the repair for weeks and could have done this before now.
Completely incompetent and they couldn't care less.

Balgores Colchester was one of the closest body shops recommended by the insurance company after a young driver ploughed into the back of our 5 week old parked car.

The process was simple enough and experience smooth from the collection of our vehicle, updates on the repairs and delivery afterwards.

Marked down one start due to couple of minor things. First, the web app for use on the mobile to capture images of the damage was a little on the flaky side. Also it would have been useful to be able to upload video. Maybe I'm being fussy, but a proper mobile app with a bit more polish and testing isn't a big expectation these days.

The second issue was that the car was returned with a minor scratch on front of the vehicle, and the repaired boot was not sitting flush with the body. These things happen, and I prefer to judge based on how mistakes are handled. In this case I'd reported the issues within 30 minutes of the car being returned, and to their absolute credit someone was on my door step within the next 2 hours. The scratch was buffed out and the boot re-aligned. I then had a call back at the end of the day to ensure I was happy with the remedy and another after the weekend to ensure I was happy with the general service.

Very pleased with the service and the timeframe in which it took to repair my vehicle, and the customer service from the ladies in the office was great and very informative especially a lady called Nicola. Very pleased customer and my car looks lovely and clean inside and out

Really friendly and professional service car was repaired to high standard. They went above and beyond to make the whole process a smooth one.

Delivery driver very rude and disrespectful when asked politely to move vehicle off over drive that was being delivered to neighbours house very sexist rude remark was given about time of the month and was laughing with the neighbour

Absolutely over the moon with the service I have received from Balgores. My repair was quick and to an excellent standard. The staff have been extremely helpful, professional and kind. 5 Star service received from Balgores Bury St Edmunds. I would have no hesitation in recommending this garage for any work or repair jobs. They kept me fully informed at every each of my repair and were always punctual with their time of collection and return. It was obvious that they had pride and took care in their work from the detailed report of damage on my car and their courtesy car; every little scratch was noted. When my car was returned it had been valeted inside and out and my seat had hardly been moved and my radio stations were unchanged. Vauxhall always change every bit of my seat and my radio stations which is quite frustrating! Balgores even polished out a couple of scratches FOC and filled in couple of stone chips to prevent rust also FOC. Lovely touch as my GTC is my pride and joy. Communication was mainly done on WhatsApp and was always friendly and professional - convenient for me as I could reply when I was free.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at the Romford branch. My car was collected from my home and I was able to check progress via the web portal. The car has just been delivered back and its as good as new and also has been valeted. It always seems a bit unfair to single out one member of a team but must mention Shane O'Brian. I had a few questions whilst the car was away and Shane always came back to me promptly with exactly the information that I wanted. Top marks all round !

If I can give no stars I would avoid at all cost even if your insurance recommends them say NO they are not approved lose screws alignment done by a 5 Yr old drove back home 50mph on the a13 plastic trim came off flying from my windscreen pillar clips broken plenty more to say if you don't want headache or lose your money avoid at all cost

My car was collected and repaired with efficiency and I was kept up to date throughout the process. The quality of work was excellent- I would definitely recommend Balgores Rayleigh.

I dealt with Deborah in the office and I have to say she was an absolute dream. Always keeping me updated with where we was with my vehicle and always extremely nice over the telephone.

Just a terrible terrible company to deal with. Always go with the actual repairer not an approved repairer. The only reason I did this was for a courtesy car which broke down and was the cheapest of cheap cars. Rude staff, lesson learnt I suppose which is maybe a good thing

It’s a shame that after being given a choice of repairer between a main dealer and a local independent I chose Balgores who do not show the same consideration to their local customers. It is clear that my car should not have passed their quality control. Someone knew the 2 faults were there. Yet my son had to have the door handle come off in his hand while trying to get in the car, leaving me to hold up a busy road to make him safe. I won’t be going back or recommending.

Relatively simple repair took over three weeks to complete. My local garage would have taken five to seven working days and the standard of work would have been just as good.
The car had been drivable so there was no need for the garage to start the repair until ready to do so.
The quality of the work was excellent and the car was lovely and clean when it was returned!
However, the time taken to carry out the repair was unacceptable.
