A good experience so far.
We're a small family business with 4 employees, so it doesn't make sense to have a dedicated HR person, which means as the owner, I have to wear many hats. But HR is hard, especially in CA, and I was always worried about getting something wrong that would ruin the business.
With Bambee, I like that I can call in at any time to get help with a wide range of questions. The "dedicated HR specialist" does change relatively often, but I've had no problem with the call queue. We added Payroll once we saw the cost was reasonable and the interface was simple to use. No regrets so far!

Awful Payroll Service
I've been with Bambee for almost a year. The HR side is awesome and very responsive. The Payroll side is awful, slow to contact me, and most times unresponsive. I'm taking my business elsewhere since my business doesn't matter.

Moving in the right direction
Edited Review: After my poor review below out of frustration for not being able to resolve our issues, Chris from customer service reached out immediately and was able to quickly and efficiently process our requested refund. As I expressed to Chris, I still have high hopes that Bambee can resolve their "growing pains" and move forward with much better customer communication as I think they fill an important niche for small businesses - especially in California. And I believe they have changed their training set up so that they now have direct access to the needed information, so that's a step in the right direction. I would have preferred to resolve this without resorting to social media pressure, but I was very happy with Chris's response and quick handling of the problem. Original Review: I had such high hopes for Bambee - it seemed like they had found a great niche to provide a needed service to small business owners. I hung in there in spite of the cumbersome communication system - uploading messages and waiting for replies...having my messages closed and marked resolved when they were anything but. The final nail in the coffin for us after many frustrations was their much-hyped training for employees. Incomplete or incorrect information regarding who had completed training - no direct access to the information. Waiting for emailed reports with inaccurate information, waiting for responses from supervisors - who ALSO HAD NO DIRECT ACCESS to the needed information. No account information to show which employees we had been charged for for training. Frustration, frustration, frustration. And then we hear that they have decided to put a limit on the number of "policies" a company can have on their onboarding system - their "solution" to an employee handbook. When we cancelled, after being encouraged to pay for a year in advance to save money - they refused to refund the remainder of the year - over 8 months! Turns out the "small print" says no refunds AND requires arbitration instead of being able to just file a small claims suit. Still sad that a company with so much potential hasn't been able to live up to it. Sure would like to have all that money back...but making the switch to Paychex HR Essentials has given me my life back! They are awesome!

Bambee straight stole our money
Bambee straight stole our money. We found the service useless and canceled. We have the email confirmation of the cancellation.
Bambee then charged us for another year ($2000) one year after we signed up.
I reached out to support and provided the email in which Bambee acknowledged the cancelation. They then said that they called us and we opted to continue the service which is a complete lie. We had no communication with Bambee after canceling.
I asked them to provide any evidence that we opted to keep the service (email, call transcript, anything). They refused.
This company literally stole from us, I imagine they will do the same to you.

I’ve been payed late multiple times
I’ve been payed late multiple times , direct deposit took months to set up . Bambee is by far the worst way you could possibly Receive your direct deposit and or access to your pay stubs it’s an absolute nightmare and I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy

payroll is lacking
I love the HR program and love my HR manager .
I just have had issues with lack of response from payroll. I am told to submit a request on my dashboard, but I can see no one has even looked at my requests. I have called and talked to one employee in payroll and she is helpful but she puts in requests for me and I still do not hear back. I have an issue I need help with soon and I am considering changing payroll companies if I can not get help in an adequate time frame.
