Good interest, poor registration, withdraw process, support, and policies
Calls you instead of e-mailing you. Refused my application because my certificate of employment was in English. Refused to accept it and demanded Portuguese version despite 6 other Portuguese banks accepting it and my employer being Austrian. Provided Portuguese version - rejected again because it was allegedly missing contract type (it wasn't) and wage, none of which any other bank required. Scheduled video call to finish process - never called. Required clarifications - ignored. Provided certificate of employment in Portuguese with explicit contract type and wage information - ignored. Had to restart process from scratch. Spams you with unsolicited e-mails. Otherwise good. Good savings account with good interest.
Update (08/15/2024): Savings deposit due. Tried to log/sign in/on with saved password to withdraw - failed, password rejected (?!). Tried to reset password by copy-pasting long password from password manager- failed, cannot copy-paste (?!). Tried to reset password by manually entering short password - success. Tried to withdraw to Trade Republic via website - failed, unsupported transaction date (?!). Tried to withdraw to Trade Republic via website on another date - failed, unsupported transaction date (?!). Tried to withdraw to Trade Republic via app - failed, cannot enter IBAN, doesn't support IBANs with letters after the first 4 digits (?!). Tried to withdraw to ActivoBank via website - failed, unsupported transaction date (?!). Tried to withdraw to ActivoBank via website on another date - failed, unsupported transaction date (?!). Tried to withdraw to ActivoBank via app - failed, unsupported transaction date (?!). Tried to withdraw to ActivoBank via app on another date - failed, unsupported transaction date (?!). Contacted support, never heard back.
Update (12/03/2024): Unilaterally changed T&C, didn't disclose new price list, commissions, interest rates, taxes, or any other fees nor what changed, instead sent new T&C with 12 pages and a link to their homepage (good luck finding this information).
