Been using Banquet Records online store for a few years. As is widely known, they misrepresent stock quite frequently. You can email asking for a refund, which thankfully they are responsive to and on... See more

Bought a vinyl 2 weeks ago it's clearly not in stock as I haven't received anything. Sent 3 emails received one back that was no help at all!!! Never again garbage site garbage customer service. AVOID.
Ordered a cd back on February
Ordered a cd back on February, only received one email of order confirmation, never heard anything since, paid for item, still haven't received item
I ordered a personally signed Maggie Roger’s Vinyl
I ordered a personally signed Maggie Roger’s vinyl. After a few hours I decided I wanted to change the message, so I sent an email and they changed it for me. I received the vinyl within a week of the release date and I love it so much! I would definitely order from them again.
Why all the hate??
I really don't understand all the bad reviews for this company, I have purchased several vinyls from them over the past 4 years and they have all been received in a timely manner and well packaged. I have found communication to be excellent and any time I have needed a refund it has been issued the same day. I have also attended 2 events organised by them, both were well organised and some of my most memorable events. I would definitely recommend them.
Do not buy rom banquet records
Shocking selling vinyls they showing in stock that they haven't got! Don't respond to emails, don't want to give you a refund! AVOID!
I don't even want to give 1 star
I don't even want to give 1 star! This company is diabolical. I placed an order in February only much later to be told they don't actually have the record in stock and they don't know when they're going to get more in . I'm now trying to get a refund but not even getting a reply to my emails. Don't purchase anything from this company!
Phenomenal
Phenomenal. Ordered two indie exclusive vinyls, saw all of the bad reviews on here and got a bit worried but have dealt with Banquet Records once before with a preorder so decided to wait and see. Admittedly took a month but presumably that’s due to them being a small business, both records were dispatched and arrived within a day or two. Saw one of them was selling for more on eBay and there weren’t many of them so was worried I was going to receive the regular edition, but both were the indie exclusives so am very happy. One thing is that the cover of one of them has a cut down it but I planned on getting a regular copy as well at some point so just going to swap out the covers as they’re identical.
Good
Vinyl was out of stock yet still showing instock on site, have had replies to emails and the option to swap to a different one so fab customer service and vinyl swapped.
Good service on a refund
Hassle-free refund for an item not in stock. I got reasonable responses in good time, nice one.
Some good, Some bad
I've had lots of good experiences with Banquet Records, however, I've tried trying get an update on a Christine and the Queens gig that was cancelled twice last year (June and November) and we still don't have a new date. I have emailed them three times over the last three weeks and still haven't had the courtesy of a reply. They also don't appear to have a complaints process or policy and I am now at a loss as to where to go from here, other than visit the store in person, which I am understandably reluctant to do.
Honestly the worst customer service
Honestly the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Bought 3 tickets for an event - asked how to get the tickets - no answer. Asked 3 times no answer. Missed the event, still not received the CDs - have sent 4 emails complaining asking for resolution - no answer. Avoid like a really bad case of the plague.
Took my money but no product received
Ordered an item which was showing in stock - took my money but nothing arrived. Chased several times through email and Instagram. No response. Checked my account over a week after the order went through - now showing as out of stock.
No communications whatsoever.
Hopefully I’ll get a response and a refund now.
I should have checked the reviews here first.
Very good independent record shop!
Very good independent record shop!! Pre-ordered the new Neck Deep album and it arrived today, the day the album was released. 10/10 would recommend :-)
Online order issues with a touch of false Information.
Despite hesitating to share negative feedback, I feel compelled to express my experience, echoing concerns raised by others. This critique is solely based on the online aspect, as my in-store encounters were generally positive. Banquet Records undoubtedly showcases hard work, evident in their social media's delivery updates where you can see just how many orders they process along with the insane amount of Royal Mail sacks filled with online orders… really impressive work, It would also be fair of me to state that the majority of my online orders have been successfully fulfilled.
However, my dissatisfaction stems from an order languishing unfulfilled for almost a year, and another for five months, prompting me to email the store with a reasonable complaint. While acknowledging their dedication, I suggested a website update for better customer communication. Admittedly, I share responsibility for leaving an order open for a year, yet the lack of communication for such a duration was striking.
Requesting a refund, I received a partial amount back without even a basic apology, this is the part that disappointed me. A company should acknowledge mistakes; Banquet's failure to do so led to this review. Despite their impressive work, improvement in website functionality and customer service is crucial and the absence of an apology diminishes their accountability.
I value supporting independent stores but will explore alternatives due to this experience. Reflecting on this, I acknowledge that in the grand scheme of current global and national challenges, my concern may seem minimal. Nevertheless, the act of retaining funds without ever providing the purchased product feels fundamentally contrary to the values a record store should uphold.
Signed CD delivered as purchased
Bought a signed CD direct from these guys. Arrived quickly, as ordered. No issues
Ordered two of my favourite albums from…
Ordered two of my favourite albums from them, reasonable prices and delivery was surprisingly quick. Cheers 🙏🏻
Avoid like the plague.
Search Up "Banquet Records Rita Ora signed vinyl" on Twitter. There's one thing selling fake signed record but the attitude they went about it afterwards and refusing fans refunds was wrong.
Massive attitude and scamming false hope/promises problem, very egotistical cause they get a few artists for local shows and they think they're untouchable. They're ruining the good of vinyl, avoid like the plague.
Very good
Very good. Very friendly. Thanks for all the Taylor Swift
Similar story to the rest here
Had several issues with them in the past with the classic "in stock" item that they charge you for and then inform you it is not in fact in stock and that I need to wait. One time, this wait turned to 6 months and was never fulfilled so I had to chase a refund, I wonder if they would have kept my money indefinitely?
The most recent issue was a record I collected in-store only to get home and find it was the wrong LPs (despite the correct sleeve). Took nearly a week to hear back from them - no offer of immediate refund, only that I need to bring it back in store for an exchange. When you don't live near the store this is ridiculous. I offered to post it to them, but they said I would have to pay to do so!!! Still waiting on a restock of this record (despite the website saying normally dispatches the next working day!!!!).
Who knows how this saga will end and when...
Can't fault them
Can't fault them. Ordered off of them a couple times, and even got upped to a signed copy as a surprise. Screw Horizon music.
