The team were extremely friendly and very helpful and helped entertain my daughter throughout the full process. Really good experience all round.

Walk in on the off chance to get a knot taken out of my chain. Linda so kindly offered to help and with skill and determination she managed to get my chain knot free. Not only that but she didn't charge a penny. Thank you so very much for your kindness and help. I will most definitely go to Barclays Diamonds when looking for some new jewellery in the future

Nicole was amazing and was helpful even when we hadnt stepped inside the shop. Her friendly approach helped us select 2 watches for my sons graduation gift. Dave was also super friendly and both gave expert advice. We appreciated the time that they spent with us and the extra small gift that they gave him

My husband had decided he wanted to treat me to a pair of pearl earrings. The first shop we entered was Barclays Diamonds in Argyll Arcade. We didn't know very much about Pearl's. We had the pleasure of being introduced to a young man 'Dean' first impressions, warm, attentive, welcoming and service with a full on smile. Dean had a very broad knowledge of Pearl's and was able to talk us comfortably through the different kinds in order for us to make a decision fairly easy about what type of pearl we wanted to purchase. We did visit another few jewellers within the arcade however quickly found ourselves back with Dean in no time at all. The knowledge he had had along with the service he provided already had us happily confident to buy from Barclays Diamonds and from Dean in person. I am so happy with my Mikimoto Pearl's Dean they are just so stunning. Dean's customer service didn't stop there. After I purchased the earrings I contacted Dean enquiring about a cloth to clean them. Dean went to great lengths to contact Mikimoto on my behalf to sort this out for me and although they no longer routinely supply these he has very kindly acquired me one. It's been a real pleasure to deal with Dean. His passion and knowledge for his job shines just like his personality. Keep up the good work. There should be more people in the world like you.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Awful experience. I purchased a £220 necklace as an anniversary gift for my Wife which broke in little over a week.

I returned to the store to be told that it wasn't covered by the warranty and would cost £45. I was unwilling to pay this amount as I could have had it repaired at a much smaller cost elsewhere. I agreed with the salesperson (Dave) that he would check with the manufacturer to see if it could be covered by the warranty after all. It was agreed that he would then contact me by phone with their answer and I would then make a decision.

However, they went ahead and made the costly repair without my permission. I would never have approved this due to the cost. I was then left with no choice but to make the payment in order to get the necklace back.

This has been an extremely negative experience which has tainted what should have been a happy occasion.

I do not recommend this store.

Enquired about a pre owned rolex watch. Was told they could source me one. Took the shops buisness card so i could phone them as dont stay in that area. Few months later found one and again asked to speak to the lady I spoke to a few months back regarding buying a rolex. Was told she was busy and would phone me back, took my details and still to this day waiting for that phone call back. There loss. Went back to glasgow and went to the Switzerland watch shop and bought from themselves in July. Your loss is there gain

Went into the argyle arcade on Monday 5/5/25 just to price wedding rings and ended up buying them carol (I think was the lady's name) was fantastic with myself and partner the service was amazing didn't feel rushed or like they wanted a quick sale, we got matching rings and the manager ran to chislom&Hunter for the last 1 of the 2 😍 couldn't recommend them enough ❤️ we don't get married till next Oct and on the way out both ladies asked for picks of the day ove course we shall oblige 😁 x

The two ladies who were in the Glasgow shop were great. They listened to what I wanted and then found lots of examples for me to choose from. Time was taken to allow me to get the exact ring I wanted. They discussed resizing and sorted it all for me.
They took interest in us as people which was lovely. We had just become grandparents and found a common bond in the use of Gaelic.
When we went to pick the ring up Miriam remembered us and asked us all about our grandson which was a lovely touch.
We would absolutely recommend visiting the shop/ no hard sell, just good old fashioned customer service which is greatly appreciated.

Terrible Customer Service and Dishonest Practices

I had an awful experience with Barclays Diamonds and would never recommend them to anyone. In 2020, I purchased a chain that was sold to me as 18-carat white gold. However, I recently discovered—after the chain broke—that it was actually 9-carat white gold! This is outright dishonesty and a clear case of misrepresentation.

When I went to the store to address this, the manager and staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. They replaced the chain with one that was completely unsuitable—far thinner, lighter, and shorter than what I originally purchased. On top of this, as someone who struggles with English, I was treated with no respect or understanding. It felt like they didn’t care at all about me as a customer.

The money I used for the original purchase was part of an inheritance from my late mother, and this entire experience has been upsetting and infuriating. This store lacks integrity, professionalism, and basic customer service. Avoid them at all costs!

I have bought all my wedding jewellery from Barclays and I can honestly say the customer service is outstanding. I have mainly dealt with the store manager Kate who always goes above and beyond and someone who articulates customer service in every way possible.

Buying a new engagement ring we had wonderful service at Barclays Argylle Arcade, Glasgow. But the ring snapped after I had it 2 months, I think it was porous but has never been confirmed. We had picked the ring up start of July and snapped September. The after service was very very poor. Never once did they call me with information or updates. Promised callback never happened. I was added to a WhatsApp msg trail to make it easier to keep in contact apparently. These msgs went unanswered. I was lied to about who the actual manager was, with another staff member saying they were the manager. Even at one point was told I was lucky that it was being replaced for same price and before Xmas. Funny I didnt feel very lucky having no engagement ring for nearly 2 months and chasing answers. When we went to pick up the new ring the manager Katie had said ask for me when you come in. I did so and she was sitting behind me, acknowledging she was Katie she then went in the back and never came back out leaving somebody else to deal with me that had no idea what the situation had been. Unfortunately I will now never return to that store or recommend it to anyone. It’s took what was lovely experience buying the ring to a horrendous after sale experience.
