I was offered a truck instead of a van. I instead took a car which had just returned, I told her don't worry about cleaning. The whole episode took about half an hr. Your rep insisted that I pay for insurance after I already told her I had insurance through Webjet. She was not friendly at all, in addition.

We were told our vehicle was fine and…
We were told our vehicle was fine and our hold deposit would be refunded. We were not advised that there would be a second check after we left.
We then got an email (after we had left) telling us the vehicle needed a repair.
This felt like we had been lied to, as we left under the impression the vehicle was fine and we were finished with Bargain Rentals.
Then they refunded our deposit and charged us for the maximum possible repair cost, then sent us an invoice for a much lower repair cost, then only partially refunded the difference due to other "charges" Bargain Rentals added to the original invoice which again they had not told us about.
All in all a terrible experience and left us feeling a bit conned.

Hi Trevor,
Apologies if a staff member has advised you differently at the drop off of the vehicle but we do always have an in depth walk over of our vehicles with check-listed criteria after returns to make sure they are ready for the next customer to collect the vehicle.
This is not always done at the moment you return depending on staff levels and how busy they are with collections, detailing returned vehicles and other on hand duties but should always be sorted within a reasonable time from your return.
With any damages found after a rental we do send our vehicles to an independent third party for assessment and repair, this is to ensure any costs that come through for the repairs themselves are fair and reasonable for the work needing to be done.
Any vehicle that has to be taken off the road and out of the active rotation due to damages found after a rental does have a cost associated with the admin for organising those repairs and any days it may to go unused.

The airport transport was overcrowded
The airport transport was overcrowded, which I don’t think is normal, especially when travelling with children. We were not properly secured with seat belts during the journey. On the way back to the airport, a lady told us to put our seat belts on, even though the bus was already overloaded.
Apart from that, everything went well, but this situation was quite strange and made us feel unsafe.

The line up to get the rental took over…
The line up to get the rental took over 30min to get through only a few people then when I finally got to the front there wasn’t a car so I had to wait on 1 to be delivered which took another 15min.
The car was good and clean.
After dropping off the car I received an email saying I had left damage, after me going out of my way and calling head office and emails they advised me it was existing damage 🤷♀️ does someone not record this, it caused me a lot of anxiety for nothing 😩

Sometimes our vehicles are not available due to events out of our control (cx returning later than booked, accidents/incidents that need maintenance, a vehicle returning needing extensive detailing) and we do try to get them ready for you and in as quick a manner as possible. Great car great company
From pick up in Townsville and drop off in Cairns everything was perfect. The staff at both places were helpful and knowledgable. The car was great and at a very reasonable rate.
We travelled out back and a long the coast. The car never missed a beat.
