I since discovered that this company goes by a few different names, including 'Refurbished Laptops Direct', and 'Cheap Laptop Company'.
I ordered this laptop on 22.11.2019, as a Christmas present for my daughter. She had about two weeks use out of it before it developed a fault.
I contacted the company and was given return details. The company's website states that returns will be processed within two weeks.
They have now had the laptop for five weeks now. The level of communication from the company has been very unsatisfactory, I have been provided with no progress updates, and any replies to my emails have been unhelpful; I was informed that the laptop will be back with me 'sometime next week' on 24.01.2020, and they have now stopped replying to my emails. I have also just been informed that my purchase was not covered by Paypal Buyer Protection either, so now I'm $249 down and I don't even have a broken laptop to show for it.

Do not buy. I bought a refurbished laptop on express delivery, which arrived over 2 weeks late. The laptop's keyboard command keys are all messed up i.e. shortcuts are corrupted for basic windows functions like paste special etc. Tried calling the contact us number, it either doesn't connect or cuts off straight away.

I was attracted by 3 year warranty but now less than 2 years later the Del latitude has stopped functioning altogether. I have contacted this company twice and had no response. It is not possible to speak to anyone either... their phone does not seem to be manned. I do not consider it to have been a cheap laptop anyway @just under£400. I therefore do not recommend this company for quality or service.

I have had my lenovo laptop a few dats now and speaking on my own experience i cannot find fault.the machine arrived on time very well packed and apart from a couple of corner marks it was as new. it started up quick and i have had no trouble downloading my personal stuffso thanks guys i am well happy.

I feel sick, I have ordered a machine with these people, but nothing has come yet, and I am still waiting!! Tired calling no answer no response to an email I feel a dread growing that this is a rip off!

Do not buy from this company they are total con artists...I purchased a Dell laptop back in August this year only to have to send it back for repair straight away..it took almost a month of waiting before they sent a replacement and it was worse than the 1st with parts missing, scratched and dented...I tried and tried to contact by email to complain and get a refund...guess what ... no reply.
A complete disaster and out of pocket £300
to boot..ended up buying a new laptop as needed for studies so in total costing me alot of money.

The worst after care i have ever experienced
There are companies out there that are so much better at doing what these guys do.
Bought a Lenovo x201 laptop from the 16 months ago with the 3 year warranty.
The fan has failed meaning it over heats after a few minutes and cuts off.

Attempted to contact them on support@, on sales@ no reply, sent the original invoice with that, found another email address admin@ sent that a message too. Tried ringing and the automated attendant that answers tells you to email them.
Havent had a response yet and have chased this 4 times, once a week for a month now.
Had to order the user another laptop from another company out of my own pocket as they cant be without for months on end. A week max would be an acceptable for turnaround on this.
Im not sure what else to do on this now as i have ran out of options. its rather frustrating that they can still trade, make profit yet not honour their after sales promise to their customer.

In July last year I bought a Dell laptop from you , paying £388.
I had Office put on it before delivery which I think accounted for about £100.
It was delivered to me on 25th July.

I didn’t use it much as I am used to using an iPad. However in the last few months I have tried to use it regularly.

It is absolute RUBBISH! I can’t use it to write this as it just doesn’t work. It takes several minutes to initialise, and today not at all. I often try to use it , have to put it off for an hour then try again.
It is very very slow receiving emails, maybe an hour after they appear on my iPad.
There is no port for a CD, how old was this laptop.? I didn’t realise this for a while until I wanted to put photos on it, and could not install my software
It has zero battery life, and has to be plugged in at all times.
What guarantee came with this laptop?
I will be very interested to hear from you about this matter.

I am not normally a complainer, but I am extremely disappointed in what you sold me.

My Lenovo X201s failed after 8 years (needs a new fan but will take 1 month from China...). Ordered an X201 so that it fitted my base station (with rather a lot of extras attached) and it booted up and worked like a dream.

I'll post again if any problems arise but it has been a week now. Added bonus it has a battery that works. Mine had long since worn out.

Worst company i have tried to deal with. Customer service is non responsive to phone or email. I eventually got my refund but do not use this company if you have any issues with service as its very poor .they also trade under other names.i would NOT recommend this company

I bought a HP Compaq nx6400 for £120. It arrived faulty - wouldn't boot up & battery nearly dead. Sent it back & received a Compaq nx6310, a lumpy old brick with ancient Windows 7 professional installed and cheap replacement stickers over the original keyboard keys. I returned it for a refund and was told that wasn't possible as I hadn't emailed them the tracking number!
They now claim to have no record of any return in their "warehouse" (which is a tiny unit in a small industrial estate in Portsmouth - try google-earthing it) and are refusing to refund my money, claiming "unless you can provide proof which we specifically requested then I do not know what on earth you expect us to do".
I tried to give them "Zero" stars on here, but can't. They don't rate the 1 star I had to give.
So, beware buying from this outfit. Their products are shoddy, their trading ethic is shady.
And, I know what my next step will be.

Bought an old Dell Latitude for £99 so expectations were not overly high. Machine arrived within specified delivery time and was in OK condition - few scuffs etc. but acceptable. Had a bit of a chuckle when noticed it had 2 'N' keys rather than an 'N' and an 'M' but nothing that is going to cause me any grief. Anyway, machine working a expected for about 6 weeks, then the 'replace battery' warning flags up (battery life poor). Of course the supplier quotes their T&C that the battery is, in fact, a consumable! As such, not covered by warranty. I only use the machine at home, so not really an issue for me, hence 3 stars. However, if you are buying a machine for serious use, need portability and good battery life then suggest caution.

Can only echo every one else experience. They do not respond to emails customer service is shocking. How they continue to trade is beyond me. The lap top when it eventually arrived was in a poor state, and it looked as if someone had been eating their pastie over it. Note that the address is in Ireland, but that it is not a returns address, they do not provide one. We did find one eventually when PayPal got involved, the address was actually in England.

They also trade as refurbishedlaptopsdirect.co.uk and cheaplaptopsonline.co.uk as well as other names! DO NOT BUY from these people. If in doubt check out trust pilot reviews first!

Will not pick up calls ..will not answer emails ..paid for laptop in the morning . No confirmation of sale ..no email messages or text . Never trust them again !!

Take the 3 stars as a 45-55 % rating. I ordered a Lenovo T420 refurbished laptop. It came extremely quickly and after 204 windows updates it’s finally up and running as it should be. Not sure it’s refurbished as much as it is ex-administration stock, sent directly to customers ( ie me). I mean there was grime marks on the keys and sticker marks that had to be removed by myself. Screen works fine and spec is correct. Battery wasn’t retaining longer than an hour of charge. But was sent another on email request. No free bag as advertised in google ad. All in all would probably recommend another site as some have better reviews here on Trustpilot.

Edit: After trying the replaced battery for first time and actually getting the warning sign that battery may fail at any minute. I’m downgrading to a 2 star review. They send a faulty battery replacement, with an even worse one. This company now rates on the low side of 30%. For two factors only, speed of delivery and laptop spec.

Absolute rubbish. Windows 10 on an untested Dell laptop that now doesn't boot is only covered by warranty because of their strict 14 day returns policy. So, cheap and shoddy workmanship that they know themselves not to guarantee.

Worth avoiding! They were completely unapologetic when we reported that refurbished Dell laptop we ordered from Bargainlaptopsonline.co.uk (aka The Cheap Laptop Company) wasn't retaining charge. Their attitude was terrible and they immediately hid behind their "30 minutes is perfectly acceptable" battery policy. Dragged their heels and did not meet their own returns service level when we had no choice but to insist on a full refund. FAQs, warranty information and returns web pages still 'not found' on their website and they declined to cover our not insignificant return costs. Support email address bounces and telephone number goes to answerphone every time. Annoyed at myself for giving them a go.
